It was exactly that. But I was wanting the kids to experience what I got to do when I was working on Christmas in Vienna for the Hallmark Channel by visiting the places in which we filmed the movie. Ever since the movie has been released a lot of more travel has been there over the holidays from people here in the states. Sounds like you had a nice holiday also. Excuse me? Wife? Did I miss something?
@ausbutlerhq
That's so clever. I think that's an awesome idea, I'm sure they loved it. Did you enjoy yourself? Wow, it sounds like you started quite the trend! I love traveling, there's nothing else like it. Thank you, I did. It was great. Yeah..a lot of people did, ha. We snuck away and got married..surprise!
i just wanna get to a point where making clothes isn't stressful and i can use it as a fun activity lmao. i love being creative; my brain is always working on something and i wanna add fashion designer to the list. just for myself though, as i don't have delusions of grandeur lmao. if you're ever traveling in europe, there's a few incredible second-hand shops you'd love. especially in rome. you find stuff in those that you won't find anywhere else.
Practice makes perfect. Hopefully eventually it'll start getting a lot easier for you the more often you do it. I do too. My mom always made sure our house had so many creative outlets - painting, pretend play, dolls. I grew up with an older sister and sometimes she'd use me as her human doll, too. I'd dress up as a grandpa and go to grocery stores with my mom. Had the time of my life. Oh, I'll absolutely have to check them out. That's my thing for sure.
I cannae help but wander if they go in on all the celebrations. Are they decorating for Valentine's Day, Easter, May Day, Halloween? I'd love to live somewhere that goes all out. Could be a major Truman Show kinda feel to it eventually, you're right. Why thank ye, talk about compliments.
I sure hope they are. I think they'd go hard. I feel like they're those kinds of people, what do you think? You're very welcome, my friend.
It's official āā I'm in my sourdough era. Who knew that my mom sending me a sourdough starter would turn into a full blown obsession. It's only been two weeks since I started on this journey, but I've already made two plain loaves and got fancy with a jalepeƱo and cheddar mix for my third āā which was amazing and makes me want to experiment more. What fun add-ins or flavors should I try next? | @hfrpstarters
It sounds like you could have a special side gig as a baker! Do you do a lot of baking? It sounds exciting..and delicious. I'll be the first customer you've got. Parmesan. Anything with parmesan. Let's get even fancier.
you live near a beach? i don't think i've ever been so jealous of someone before. guessing you're based in LA?
Yeah! It's a beachfront property. I got really lucky and got a great deal. And I have a great financial team. I am, yeah. Where are you based?
consider me jealous of your california real estate. mansions are overrated in my humbled opinion. i bought a nice, single level home in the hills and i'm more than content with it. it's just me, and it was the first home i ever purchased for myself. i didn't think i needed five bedrooms for one person. of course, of course. we all handle anxiety and stress in certain ways, and for some smoking can be that coping mechanism. best take away to try and train your brain to want other things is to find something else to focus on that doesn't involve smoking. maybe switch up your craving for a smoke with ten jumping jacks or something. anything to keep your brain occupied during that time.
You could always come visit. We don't get guests too often but would be happy to have you! The beach is gorgeous, it's the best decision I've ever made to move here. It sounds beautiful, I'm happy for you! Having a safe and comfortable place to call home is the best feeling in the world. I work out enough as it is, ha. I don't know if I need even more of a reason to do.
do they usually announce things before you do? because that sounds pretty annoying. then again, our fan club is kind of slow at keeping up with shit so i don't know what's worse. i spent them at my mom's house and then the other half on the beach. coming back to reality was fucking rough.
It happens sometimes. Usually my team releases things before me and sometimes the fans get a hold of things earlier. It is rough - I guess I'm kind of lucky. We live near the beach so it's always kind of feeling like a vacation.
āā- Huge congrats on your releases and marriage . i wish you and your wife all the best together . did you two have a honeymoon after to celebrate ? it definitely will be for me for a bit -- even if it's not what i'm most known for . thank you , i'm looking forward to the world enjoying it .
Thank you that's so kind of you. Kind of, we mostly stayed home together but we live near the beach so it kind of felt like a getaway at home if that makes sense. I'm so happy for you.
Kaia: youve sent social media into a tizzy with a red carpet appearance again, how lucky am i that i get to experience you every day in real life?
Austin: Baby, you're so sweet
So, guess who is engaged?! If you guessed me, you would be absolutely correct! I have never felt more giddy in my life, honestly. We have been together for a few years now and I popped the question on New Year's Eve. Definitely expect the invitations when weāre ready to send them out! How is everyone else's 2024 so far?!
Congratulations, I'm glad to hear things are working out for you! It's been good, thank you. I've been spending it at home with my wife for the most part, which has been lovely.
thank heavens that wasn't the outcome, as drumming without all of my fingers would be an interesting experiment. really want to learn how to do more modifications and maybe learn how to make garment patterns, so i can create myself the wardrobe of my dreams, hah. that sounds like an amazing thrift find. do you tend to visit different thrift shops when you're traveling or do you have specific ones you prefer?
That would've been terrifying, I probably never would've tried it again! It sounds like an awesome goal for the new year, what do you think? I have specific ones around home but I'm always open to new ones. You never know what you're going to find, it could be your new favorite item.
Brett, the kids, and I were quite lucky when it came to Christmas this year with our travels to Paris, Vienna, Bucharest, and London so anything that we bought for the kids and ourselves in our travels was Christmas presents to ourselves. We did a late holiday where Santa is coming to visit us late in New York City this past Friday which was really nice! Just peace and love for all my friends and family, nothing too crazy. How were your holidays, by the way?
@ausbutlerhq
Oh wow, that sounds like a lot of moving around. I bet you were tired after that trip! That sounds great, I'm glad you got to have a little Christmas at home too. They were good, thank you. I spent them with my wife and her family.
you live on the beach? that's one hell of a real estate goldmine. i've always wanted a property on the beach, but in los angeles i'm afraid that's not obtainable. my parents do own a beach house in byron bay, australia. that's about the closest i'll ever get to beach front property. i don't smoke nearly as often as i used to, or as much as most, but it's definitely a habit i want to try and break this year. is that the reason you feel like you aren't able to quit? because it helps relieve your stress?
I do. I got it for a great price. The beach always tends to be higher priced but it's not a mansion or anything - a modest house but the view is absolutely amazing. Yeah. I know logically all the statistics and how it doesn't really help but my brain thinks it does and that's the tricky part.
āā- The new year is finally here , and tell me some of your last year highlights and what you're looking forward to this new year ? for me -- my highlights were getting to be princess peach and learning of the gaming world . this year has to be for my new film with chris hemsworth -- ā Ā furiosa ā . ( @hfrpstarters )
Getting release dates for most of my work and getting married! Those are the two biggest things I can think of for 2023. I haven't seen the movie but getting to be princess peach will always be a great boast. I'm happy for you, I'm sure it'll be great.
i'm not the handiest but i've turned old jeans into a denim skirt before. nearly lost my patience and chucked the thing out of a window at least three times but at least i did it, hah. that jacket sounds awesome. did you thrift it or is it something that's been in your family?
I got scared, I thought you were going to say you nearly lost a finger or something! That's an accomplishment to be proud of, especially if it's not something you'd normally do. I thrifted it. I'm obsessed with comfortable vintage clothes.
kaia: not as much as i love you, but they do come in a pretty close second!
Austin: The sweetest wife.
