Austin looked up cautiously, “Oh thanks!” he replied. Closing the small maroon notebook which he had on his lap. He scrambled slightly to reach for the book he had dropped, “I-I didn’t notice” he said. Covering his hand with the sleeve of his jumper and frantically dusting the dew from the book, he rifled through the pages quickly to check which book it was.
He placed the dropped notebook back into his bag, which was sat lopsidedly on the grass beside him. Ensuring that he closed the bag properly this time.
