just saw qsmp will actually be back. Listen. I loved and spent SO much of my time and energy on that, I've discovered communities and people and learned many things BUT...

Qsmp was a very special thing, impossible to recreate. Beautiful. Genuinely groundbreaking in the mc community and across the world.

Made the more sour by the way it ended and what came to light as more staff spoke about their time at the studio.

I miss it, I really do... But think, if you're going to watch, is it just nostalgia? the reason you're willing to not give a damn about the awful conditions workers were put through and STILL things haven't been made right. Just because time has passed, it doesn't mean people and things have changed unless you see the change happen, or be exposed. Your hope and wishes don't mean a thing. You just want a blame free card.

The good was huge, it felt nice, but it really cannot be separated from what QSMP was and what Quackity and his studio did. You can't hide your head in the sand because you don't want to remember or feel bad about liking it.

If you're going to watch it, have the conscience to at least recognise that it's a sour follow up, a big cash grab and hype train that has been going on SINCE it ended years ago.

Demand to have things made right, demand an apology and compensation. After and IF those are given, think still, why did it take SO long?

pili resurrection's being different every time is a fun writing choice because it allows the cc to not only play a different character but play against other characters differently in a way i've never seen. like yeah everyone gets to improvise and go how they want with their characters but people tend to settle in a spot whereas every death here has allowed a shift in the narrative yknow

#like. ace starting out saying it's time to have some self respect bc of the treatment he sees from other characters #as a direct response of how pili2's character started and ended feels very narratively satisfying if he actually goes through with it #*fingers crossed*#mocha was the og where he was making it as he went. pili2 was a bit maddy ferguson twin peaks in how he was different and would seek people #who saw him as his own person but lots of people still saw mocha. and afaik he had some memories with the book but not all?#and then having the possession stuff too which im wondering if will still be a thing here or not. his own ghost haunting people in a way #i understand feeling sad at first if there were people who did when he came back as not mocha but it's pretty interesting.#and the choice that ace does destroy the tiny fear i had that it'd be all completely new characters and that doing that #would leave character arcs & dynamic sort of. unsolved. paused. yknow.#(ive only watched a bit of pili1 and clips from pili 2 and now this stream and rest is from lb i WILL watch it all)#anyway go off king <3 #tr!ace
