Thank you so much. I’m glad you like my little corner of the internet. This is reminding me it’s been too long since I posted a full story. I’ll try to get one out in the next couple weeks.

The villain frowned at the slip of paper in their hand. "Is this. . ."
"My phone number," the hero said, clearing their throat. "For contacting me. If you need help completing your assignment."
The villain felt a deep blush spread up their neck as they tried to memorize the digits. "Oh, yeah. Uh, of course."
Prompt (701)
“How do you propose we get out of this one?” The hero asked.
The pair were stuck in a dungeon, chained up, with no way to see outside but a small ventilation shaft, at least 30 metres tall, showing a sneaky peek of the night sky. There was no water or food. All this to prank a king who had angered the villain.
“Quiet,” the villain said. “Let me think.”
“If we survive this, I’m never letting you live this down.”
“I said shut up.”

"I've had a long day," the hero said, dropping their bag down next to the villain and taking their seat. "So if you could not annoying the living hell out of me for, like, five minutes, that would be great."
The villain frowned. "I'm not that annnoying."
"Yes you are," the hero said, dropping their head to their desk.
"No I'm not."
"Shut up and let me sleep," the hero snapped, muffled through their arms.

“I miss you,” the hero said. “You haven’t even tried to kill me all week!”
“Sorry, baby,” the villain said, not looking up from their spreadsheet. “Budgeting for a doomsday laser is such a pain in the ass.”

“How long do we have left?” The hero asked, eyes closed.
“2 minutes,” the villain said.
The hero wiped away a tear. They gripped the villain’s hand. Down here, past twisting labyrinths, guards, and locked doors, it was just them. It was dark except for the faint glow of the countdown on the bomb.
The hero and villain were huddled together, pressed against the wall. The villain kissed the hero’s forehead, and for the last time whispered, “Together?”
The hero nodded, choking on a smile. “Together.”
Prideful Awooing

"I don't miss you," the villain.
"Not even a little bit?" The hero taunted, dipping the villain low over the cliff edge, like the pair were dancing. "Not even the deepest, coldest corner of your dead little heart?"
The villain's grip tightened on the hero's forearm. "No."
The hero put on a very good show of not being surprised. Or a little hurt. But the villain knew the truth. The hero still thought about them. And the villain wouldn't give them the satisfaction of knowing the feeling was returned. Even if it meant they were dropped off this cliff.

"You can't steal the flowers," the hero said.
"Come on, they're so expensive. No one will even know," the villain begged.
"I'm not having you commit armed robbery for our wedding flowers," The hero said firmly.
"What about unarmed robbery?"
"Just go buy the flowers!"

“No one remembers you,” the villain said. “The idea of who you are to everyone is gone, forever.”
The hero smiled. “Really?”
“Yes, real- why do you look happy? I just destroyed your life.”
“I was in so much debt,” the hero said. “I don’t know how to thank you.”
The villain sighed. “Why do my evil plans always backfire?”

“What is wrong with you?” The hero said, hands on their hips. “You can’t just kidnap the mayor every time you want to talk to me.”
“You weren’t picking up the phone!” The villain said frustratedly as they held the tied up, gagged, and very scared-looking mayor. “What was I supposed to do?”
Prompt (693)
The hero was pinned against the wall by the villain, somewhere deep in an alley. The street lights and traffic sounds didn't reach here, in this dark cavern that felt infinitely large, infinitely shielding. The villain had just brought their hands up, curled their fingers around the hero's waist. The hero didn't pull away.
The hero's eyes drifted to the villain's lips, but they stopped themselves from reaching out, from closing the distance. "We shouldn't."
The villain nodded lazily, eyes hazy, responding, "We can't".
The air was hot between the pair. It felt like curling steam. It made it hard to think straight. Maybe that was why the villain leaned down. Maybe that was why the hero didn't stop them. Maybe that was why their lips connected--the hero wrapping their arms around the villain's shoulders and their legs around the villain's waist. It didn't matter. The heat was too much to deny, and the hero couldn't be blamed for needing to have it. They broke off and tilted their head, exposing their neck, and let the villain attack.

"You haven't won yet," the villain said, reaching up the grab the hero's leg. "I'll have the last laugh, just you wait."
The hero looked at the villain sceptically. "So am I just supposed to ignore the building I dropped on you, or. . ?"

“Can you practice your evil speech somewhere else?” The hero said from bed, muffled by a pillow.
The villain paused, turning around, cringing apologetically. “Did I wake you? Sorry.”
The hero grumbled, rolling over to look at the villain, in full gear, posed as if giving a truly terrible diatribe.
“Is’s okay,” the hero mumbled. “I just have an early day tomorrow.”
Prompt (690)
“Don’t do this,” the hero said, grabbing the villain’s arm. “Don’t give yourself up for me. You hate me.”
The villain put their hand over the hero’s, the one holding them in place.
“What if I loved you?” The villain said, gently peeling the hero’s hand off them.
The hero willed the tears welling in their eyes to not spill over. “Then that would the second biggest mistake of your life, after this one.”
