that scene with natalie and milchick actually rearranged my brain. milchick sees the blackwashing done to the kier paintings. his first instinct is to be grateful. after all, they're doing this for him. the board reminds him they also did this for natalie. they care so much about poc. then he locks in. they're manipulating him, like he's an innie. milchick glares at natalie. the board concludes the call and natalie doesn't smile as much. she tries to smile again but it doesn't reach her eyes. milchick puts the paintings away.
