Honestly, upon watching Iron Lung again, I think the way a lot of fanfic of bloodymary represents Simon is off. He's sweet, he's scared, he just wants to live. His rough, loud reactions are understandable due to the intensely stressful situation he's in.

He's just as gentle as Grace is. It's just that their circumstances are wildly different.

#I think the clips and trailers just showed a lot of the anger and stuff but I was finally able to watch the movie and yes!#I love fics where he becomes a softie when he’s finally safe and I was pleasantly surprised to see a similar characterization in the movie!#like you can’t tell me that man wouldn’t melt at the slightest soft touch #bloodymary
