“You haven’t seen Sutton Fitzgerald by chance, have you?” The boy adjusts the black duffel bag hanging from his shoulder, blue eyes hidden behind a pair of dark wayfarers, “the maintance guy is starting to give me the look that security will be escorting me out soon. I’ve been waiting for her for an hour now.”
Running into him was inevitable in such a close knit community, but Ava hadn’t expected the encounter to happen on her first day back. She’d hadn’t let herself give it much thought, not wanting to be one of those girls that let their thoughts linger on their failed romances of the past, but now that he was only a few feet away she’d wished she’d done so. “No, haven’t see her,” her tone void of any emotion. “Cellphones exist for a reason. You could try calling, or texting.”

“You haven’t seen a little cat run this way, have you?” Cleo asked, her voice quiet and timid as always. “She’s only about yay big, white with black spots all down her back. I think she may have run off again, I just don’t know where…” She trailed off, letting out a soft but distressed sigh.
At first glance Ava assumed the other was talking to someone else, her voice barely audible from across the driveway entrance. It took Ava glancing around the near empty lot to realize the question was aimed at her. “A cat?” She asked after not sure if she’d heard it correctly. “Not around here, but you know they say cats come back after a couple of hours. I’m sure it’ll come back.”

“Okay, fuck–– fine… I’ll admit, that was a lame one,” The hooded male protested, amused chagrin in his tone, words delivering at the tail-end of a loud exhale, “How about this: would you rather fist Andre the Giant, or be fisted by Andre the Giant?” He offered, demeanour deadpan, as if it were a momentous question in deciding one’s fate, “–– And no, death isn’t an option in this one. Though getting Andre’s ape hand rammed up your honey hole might do it for you, I shit you fuckin’ not–”
“Are you serious with that?” Ava raised both brows as if expecting him to laugh and offer different scenarios to chose from. “Of course I’d rather fist Andrew the Giant. I mean you just said it yourself, I don’t have a death wish.” Ava reached over and tugged down the hood of his jacket even further down in an attempt to stuff some of the fabric into his mouth. “Haven’t you heard that rumor about what he did at the Playboy mansion? He’d stack the girls and finger 5 at the same time. I don’t want that inside of me.”

What makes you feel warm inside? Tequila is like fire to your stomach without a chaser.
What’s your favorite Halloween tradition? Costume parties. This year I plan on going as a slutty Bambi.
What’s the last thing you learned? The new pass code to unlock the gates to the house.
When’s the last time you felt obsessed? Any time one of my favorite bands drops a new album I get pretty obsessive.
What’s your favorite article of clothing? I love a good crop top.

If you could have any view from your bedroom window what would you choose? I don’t know, I like the view I have now.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a sunny day? Sunbathe.
What do you consider lucky? Fortune cookies and black cats.
What made you smile today? Watching the neighbors across the street struggle with their new sprinkler system. They still haven’t figured out how to turn it off.
What makes you happy? Summertime.
blue
What do you do when you’re sad? Cry, drink, dance, depends on the type of sad I’m feeling.
What are some things you do when you can’t sleep? I go out, find something to do? There’s no point in tossing and turning if you can’t sleep.
What was the best (non-romantic) night you’ve had? I was drunk. I can’t remember.
What kind of covers do you have on your bed? My bed cover is dark blue, 1020-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and my favorite blanket is white Tibetan lamb fur with a cashmere backing. I take my bedding very serious.
Who is the last person you told a secret to? Cameron, but he was really fucked up. I don’t think he remembers. I guess that kind of works in my favor.
green
What’s your favorite thing to do outside? I don’t like to pick favorites but swimming’s pretty fun.
Do you like camping? Is that a real thing? Do people really go out of their way to spend their night out in the middle of nowhere with the bugs, without any cell signal, or a proper bed? No thanks.
What would you spend $1,000 on? Whatever I want? Shoes, a dress, cocaine.
What’s your job, or what do you want to do as your job? I want my job to be not having a job.
What’s your favorite article of clothing? Underwear, never leave home without it─except for that one time…and that other time.

How was your first kiss? I was thirteen and I had been hanging out with this boy who was staying across the street with his aunt for the summer. He came over one night and as I was getting up from the couch to he reached up, pulled me back down and kissed me. It was wet, it was sloppy, and he tasted like sour cream and onion potato ships. He was a real Casanova.
What do you love about yourself? You expect me to pick just one thing? That’s impossible, I love me, gonna love myself, no, I don’t need anybody else.
when’s the last time you warmed your hands in front of a fire? Never? That sounds dangerous and as you know I’m a very cautious person.
Would you rather watch a sunrise or sunset? The sunrise as long as I’m still awake from the previous night before. You won’t catch me up that early in the day any other way.
What’s the best thing about summer? The sun.
purple
What’s your astrological sign? AriesWhat’s the best piece of advice you ever received? Stay away from boys with bad teeth. When’s the last time you followed your instincts? This morning when I decided to sleep in instead of going to brunch. Turns out everyone got sick from the Hollandaise sauce off their Eggs Benedict. What’s your favorite food? Churros, they go straight to your ass. What’s your secret dream? Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom.
