Human Canvas ||Para|| Will&Ava
Will never knew what art therapy was, so why not ask? “Don’t think I’m dumb or anything, but what is art therapy?” Will saw her coming over with the palate and said, “Wow, this is actually happening.” He laughed, “When I came to New York, I would have never thought I would have been on some strangers island getting painted on.”
“It’s a lot of different things.” Ava shrugged. “It’s mostly used as psychotherapy to help people cope with a diagnosis and to give them a way to get encouragement and express themselves but it can also be used as occupational therapy to help with fine motor skills.” She explained, laughing at Will’s statement as she moved to get started. “Well I never thought I would branch out beyond canvas or paper.” She took a brush from the jar she’d placed on the counter and brought the wooden end against her lips while she thought about where she wanted to start before mixing a deep gray on an empty part of the palate and beginning to create the base of a sky.
