“Okay, how does this one look. The last three didn’t fit and although I can’t fucking breathe in this, it looks like it fits. And I thought I would’ve lost like five pounds, not go up by a fucking size since I got horrible food poisoning last night. I’m seriously considering to fucking sue dominos.”
"Honestly....." Ava began as she circled around Anishia, "You look terrible....”
She didn’t look that bad but Ava knew Anishia well enough to know that if she didn’t like the dress now and bought it. The day of the wedding she’d wake up, hate it, and then blame Ava for “forcing” her to buy it. So it was easier to just make fun of it now and get her to try on something else. “Which obviously doesn’t matter because compared to me, you’ll look terrible anyways. Your net worth is twice the size of dominos so I don’t see a point in suing, pick on someone your own size much? ”
Seriously
Lilith rolled her eyes and stepped back. Of all the people she had to run into when she was already feeling like crap, it had to be one of the bitchiest, most annoying people she’d ever met. “You’ve got something, Ava Lockwood,” she said dryly, “but it definitely isn’t talent. That rubbish you work on cast you because of your rack and nothing else, I can guarantee it.”
Arching an eyebrow, Ava shot the New York native an innocent looking grin. Usually anyone who insulted her talent got anger from her but Ava was eerily calm as she took a step closer to the younger female. “Alright, I only got cast because of my rack but I’m still successful, I’m still hot, and guess what? My family is actually proud of me instead of casting me off to live in, how did you describe it a minute ago? The swamps? Not to mention your so called friends, have any of them even tried to contact you? My guess is they probably haven’t, which is why you are here complaining about insignificant coffee because what you really want to complain about is how pitiful of life you live.”
“Don’t ever mock a person that can poison your dessert” Cece teased, sticking her tongue out at Ava and walking to the bar. “Shit, this is not fair, you’ll get me hammer if those are the rules” she protested, watching as her friend filled up the glasses. “I have to take all three?”
"If you were really planning on poisoning me then you wouldn't have told me your "plan" now would you?" The actress commented doing air quotes as she grinned mischievously at her friend. “It’s totally fair, you knew the rules when you insisted on playing.” Ava said sliding the drinks closer to Cecelia. “Yes all three, getting wasted is the whole reason we’re playing this game after all.”

Ava Lockwood was Major’s first ever crush which lingered on till high school. He knew her through Mel and was immediately smitten. Everyone knew about it because he talked to everyone (except Ava, of course) about it. Benji and Daisy were the primary witnesses to this and they mostly encouraged his ‘Ava talk’ with here we go again groans. He also used to try to be better friends with Asher just so he could get updates about his twin sister. One of the best days of his life was when she called him freshie on his and Benji’s first day in high school and the ‘pet name’ has stuck since.

She said he’s too young. Frown. She said he’s too pretty. Instant smile. Then she called him her ‘favorite freshie’. Big idiot smile. “I may have grown taller than you but you’ll never be too old for me! One doesn’t simply forget the person they went cray over. Also, you just called me too pretty so I’m not gonna forget that either.” He laughed and adjusted his snapback while he glanced at the security camera. “Well I guess I should thank you then for saving me from such a scandal. I still have yet to use my career to impress you.” After holding back a giggle, he stared at her and shook his head in awe. “You’re here, wow. Taking a break from Hollywood? I can’t believe you’re an actress now!”
"They went cray over, such a poetic way to put it." The brunette teased as she draped an arm casually over his shoulders. Playfully squeezing him into her side like the old days, though it was a little more awkward now that he was taller than her. “Of course you’re pretty.” She agreed while bringing her arm back to her side. Facing him with a girlish smile as she continued. “Look at those dimple...” She commented lighting tracing a finger over his cheek. “And that chocolate gaze. I’m practically swooning.” She teased, leaning into the counter behind her as if she was truly about to faint. “You’re very welcome but if you really want to thank me you’ll buy me a piece of cake.” She laughed, still amused by how amazed he seemed to be at her presence. "In the flesh. Though I’m more shocked that you’re here. I haven’t seen you since when, Benji’s 20th?”
“Oh boy, acting tips from Ava Lockwood? My friends are going to be so jealous,” she rolled her eyes, hoping that a sarcastic comment might divert her attention. “How’s that whole thing going by the way? Sorry, I peaced out halfway through season one. I love you, but I can’t handle any more teenage angst…”
"I know sarcasm is like kind of your "thing" or whatever." The actress began with a dead panned facial expression as she gazed upon Dani's younger sister. "But sooner or later you are gonna have to actually face whatever it is that is bugging you. Better to face it then to let it run you over, trust me."
It didn't really surprise her that Daisy didn't watch but that didn't mean she wouldn't give her hell for it. "Was that statement supposed to offend me or something because you can't out bitch the bitch, Baby Evans."
“I’m sure Hollywood’s just like high school, only more glamorous,” she joked, “So you had a lot of practice.” Danielle nodded, “I know for a fact that ‘characters’ is not the word some people chose to describe you two as.” She shook her head, remembering some of the schemes of those two. She finished her drink and shrugged, “And you? Definitely the devil.”
"Ideally I'd like to tell you that it's not, but let's be real, it is." Then again wasn't everywhere kind of like high school? There would always be the people at the top, who were powerful and other's inspired to be. And then those at the bottom who were over looked but probably had more potential than those who were on top knew. It was just the way life was, and for right now Ava was still at working her way up from the bottom. "Let's just say going from number one to number negative one is pretty humbling, not that I stayed at negative one for long." There were a lot of things about Ava that could be said but getting by wasn’t one of them. She worked her ass off for anything she wanted because she had always had the fear of losing it to motivate her. “Definitely the devil, can’t you tell from just looking at me?”

Cassandra Clare, City of Heavenly Fire
“Okay, I can do this” Cecilia took a deep breath and exhaled deeply, holding the darts in her right hand. She had terrible aim, but couldn’t say know when they insisted she played. “And…I suck” she laughed, throwing the dart and nearly missing the target board.
"Can't say I disagree with you, Cece." The brunette laughed in childishly joy before grabbing the bottle of vodka from the counter and pouring it into three shot glasses. "Alright, you remember the bet. You didn't hit a bulleyes so drink up."
Being a detective, Casey was always watching. It was just what he did. And since he was a detective, his dog was pretty well trained to watch as well. It was just how it worked. Whatever direction he was staring, Pat was looking in the other direction. It was like they were both keeping an watchful eye on the city, even if it wasn’t their complete duty. Technically, Casey was on vacation. He didn’t start work until Monday but there was no way he could take the detective out of him for a week.
The male’s gaze fell upon the woman that was practically beelining for him and his eyes widened as she hooked arms with his own, calling him darling and speaking to him like they knew each other. Luckily for her, he caught the view of the man skulking around and he turned his gaze back upon her, “Wasn’t sure you were going to make it. Thought you got lost or something.” He stated with a smile. Pat noted the change in his owner his head turned towards the two on the bench, unsure what was going on, “How are you, dear? Everything okay?”
Whatever tension the brunette felt about the man reacting badly was melted away into a grateful smile as he immediately seemed to play along. Making a mental note to sincerely thank him later, Ava continued on with her act. All too aware of her pursuer who had stopped a couple of feet away to stand and watch. "I know I haven't been home in a while but I'd never forget my way around here. I just lost track of time, you know, typical me. I'm sorry." The words rolled out of her but only the last two held sincerity.
She was sorry and while she rarely apologized that didn't mean that she didn't know how to. In her rush over she hadn't noticed the dog by the man's side until it released a small bark. Her chocolate brown gaze immediately broke from the stranger's focus on his dog. Her false smile instantly turning into a real one, her dog lover nature taking over as she reached over the man to scratch behind the dog's ear. “Oh yes, love. I’m fine. I just looking for a wedding gift for Mel and Chris’s wedding and had a little scare for a second because I thought someone was following me.” As she spoke her words got louder and by the time she looked up from showering the man’s pet in affection her little follower was hurrying back into the crowd.
Upon the realization the actress was quick to untangle herself from the stranger, an apologetic look on her features. “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t shake him by myself and you were the closest person to me. I hope you don’t mind.”
Seriously
At the sound of a familiar, but not welcome, voice, Lilith turned. “Ava Lockwood. I’d say I’m surprised to run into you this far south of Manhattan but…well, I’m not really. This kind of place is exactly where I’d expect to find you lurking when you’re not being a try-hard for the cameras”.
Has she....did she just....and once again Ava was reminded why she often found the need to remind herself that Lilith Linn was in fact a real person and not some poorly written character from a failed TV pilot. Her words often sounding like Regina George reject lines then something anyone would actually say. “This kind of place? Wow, such a burn. I’m going to need years of therapy to get over the fact that you’d expect to find me in my own hometown.” The brunette commented sarcastically as she took a sip from her coffee. “And sweet heart, I don’t have to try hard in front of the camera. You may not have heard of it but I have something called talent.”
Val turned back to the unfinished script on her laptop; the cursor was flashing almost condescendingly at her. “Actually, yeah. You look like one of those characters in a kids’ show who says ‘oh my’ in a breathy voice every two seconds. And then you get way too excited when anything happens.” She typed down a few words, only to delete them again.
Getting into it with one of the writers on the show wasn't the smartest thing to do job wise, so she let the insult pass with a simple roll her eyes. After all, it wasn’t like she wasn’t used to this kind of crap from Valerie. It was kind of the women’s M.O, sarcastic and bitchy. And while most of the time Ava didn’t have to deal with her, there were days like today when she insisted on writing around the cast to get inspiration and the last thing Ava needed was to inspire to kill off her character. “That’s like the hundredth sentence you’ve deleted.” She commented off handedly before returning her attention back to her phone. “So I’m going to give you the benifit of the doubt and assume its the writer’s block that is making you cranky.”
“Excuse me? Hey?” he couldn’t believe he was being ignored. There he was, trying to be nice and he gets this rude response. He was about to lose it when he heard someone sneak up from behind him. It was too weird for Major to admit but she smelled good. He just knew it was her. He pinched the bridge of his nose while shaking his head. “I can’t believe you just saw that. I mean, okay thank you for pointing out that she has headphones in but,” he took the guitar and gave her a grateful smile. “But you could have at least come in a bit later? When I’m not talking to a stranger who doesn’t hear me and just standing here looking like a complete idiot.” He smiled, his blush crawling up his cheeks. “Oh my gosh hey Ava, you’re here.”
Letting him take the guitar Ava stared on in amusement as he continued to babble in obvious embarrassment. Her nose scrunching in mock amusement as she tilted her head to slightly to the right, "What do you mean have come in bit later?" Amusement evident in her voice even as she remained her false look of innocent confusion. “From the looks of it, you were about to rip her a new one. And you’re far too young and too pretty to have a badly lit viral video ruining your life..” The brunette commented gesturing to the security camera in the corner of the diner, her lips tilting up to return his smile with her own. “Yes, I’m here. I’ve kind of been here expecting a warm welcome back from my favorite freshie but alas you’ve left me hanging. What is it, a new girl have your affections? Have I gotten too old for you?”
