There was no bigger asshole comment than this one, and he knew it. He didn’t want to insult her or make her feel any bad — but the lack of ability to handle such a situation made him say stupid things. Incredibly stupid things. If he could take it back, he would. Out of her eye sight now, he let himself fall backwards against the wall. His head hitting the cold surface, as if he needed to get his brain back to working properly again. How much he hated to talk about such things the day after. But he guessed, that they had to do it anyway. The sooner, the better, actually.
Instead of changing like he had initially planned to, he went back into the training rooms. Observing her for a moment, while he himself was leaning against the door in a safe distance like the coward he was. The coward that hated to talk, the coward that would rather pretend to be an idiot than anything else. But this place could easily turn out into hell for these two if they didn’t fix it soon. Something that could be easily prevented if he would just stop being such a complete and utter idiot.
Slow steps carried him over to her, carefully tapping her on the shoulder as he noticed that she was not hearing him. Earphones. Of course. He cleared his throat, waiting for her to remove them so he could say something. One simple sentence that could eventually make sure he wasn’t such a total dumbass as she seemed to think about him. “I’m sorry.”
To be honest, Ava was surprised by Isaiah comment on what happened between them. She was still confused about how she felt about him. And his comment didn’t make things clearer for her. And she wasn't sure if she should speak to him about what he said or just let it go. It’s not like she wants to know if he wanted to happen again or not. It couldn't happen since she already broke her don’t sleep with your fellow boxers rule. To make matters worse, she slept with the one boxer who she is also training with it. As if things can’t already get more complicated between them.
Ava continue punching the punching bag trying to forget about what happen. It was no use since that’s all she could even think about it. She is suppose to be in a professional environment at the moment and all she can think about is having sex with Isiah. Now, she understand why people don’t mix work with pleasure. It just lives things complicated at work and outside of work. She is just glad Derek hasn’t arrived yet. She has time to get her act together and move past everything that happened between them. For a moment, she caught herself wondering if she should even move past it.
Now, the young woman didn’t realize that he was watching her. Mostly since she was taking her anger, frustration and confusion out on the punching bag. Once he taps her on her shoulder, she places her hands out to stop the bag from moving before taking one of her earbud out. Yet she didn’t say anything as she waits for him to say anything. She turns around slowly at hearing his words. “Don’t be. It was an asshole move but it’s cool.” she told him before adding, “We're cool.” She reaches for her water bottle, on the bench next to her. “But I will make your life a living hell if you tell anyone and do mean anyone about this.” she told him as she glances around at the other boxers before looking back at him. She already gets enough shit because of her being a woman boxer but she finally gain some of the male boxers respect and she won’t lose that. “And I know I should be like let’s forget what happen but so what? It happened. We will just move past it because we don’t need things to be complicated around here right?”
