Jude and Cardan, again.
These are all the endpapers I did for the German special edition of The Folk of the Air by Holly Black published by Chest of Fandoms. Unfortunately it’s sold out. I like collecting all the books I’ve worked on, so I was very sad when even I couldn’t get the trilogy because there were no more copies left.

Can ALL new adult authors stop ripping apart newly mated pairs as a cliff hanger for the next book?! My heart can’t take much more.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

okay so this is kinda random but let’s go through some name origins that might be of some importance who knows:
most Fae have either Welsh, Celtic (Gaelic) or old English names (Flynn, Declan, Ruhn, Bryce, Cormac; the Autumn King is an exception though; Tristan is French, but it’s been used in the British Isles for ages, and is part of the Arthurian Legend)
the wolves (the Fendyr line at least) all have Nordic names (+ Danika is closely related to the name for a woman from Denmark in a lot of Slavic languages)
also Holstrom — Swedish
Ravenscroft: from an old English byname Hræfn (raven) and Old English world croft (paddock)
name Einar is from Old Norse
tl;dr
most of the names of both wolves and the Fae have either Germanic/Celtic/Norse origin, so I wouldn’t really be surprised if they were truly related
btw most angels have either Greek, Hebrew, or Latin names
