Supa dupa rough doodles in between assignments and illustrations 💥
This is Natrolite and i birthed them today and i cant wait for when i can do a full illustration for them and cry while rendering their hair (i was about to make their hair 3x longer but then thought about my sanity)
I hope that in this month long time frame where i focus on this weeks finals and all the personal art i had planned before getting into mp100, thay mp100 does not leave my brain,,, do not leave me,, i still have so much i wanna do,,

So when choosing the gems, some of them I think about the physical properties of them like the hardness or cleavage and others I just think the gem looks cool
All the espers have alloy arms, though I haven't thought about whay specific alloys they'd have lol. I also thought it'd be cool to make all the espers that are or look rainbow with reflection and lighting.
I'll put a cut it here because theres a handful of characters I've assigned gems to and i think it'll be very long
Mob and Ritsu are bort and black diamond with gold and platinum arms respectively. Originally they were labrodite twins (since twin gems are the only gems that can interact without scratching or breaking and also Labradorite is an awesome looking gem) This change to diamonds was absolutely because I took HnK Diamond's dynamic of insecurity, evny and admiration with Bort.
Reigen (who I keep changing) is an imperial topaz cause it looks cool but also cause it can totally break easily if struck in the right area with because of its perfect cleavage. He's got pyrite (fool's gold) arms that can't stretch the way the esper's alloys do because...its not gold. But he says it's gold anyways and that it just takes a heavy toll on him using it.
Teru is an Iris Agate since it mostly has this yellowish color and its really pretty when held to the light, but also to use the blue part in the reflection for his eyes. I gave him rose gold arms.
Sho is an orange and blue banded agate for the same reason as Teru to get both colors of his hair and eyes.
Serizawa is a rainbow obsidian cuz its pretty and he deserves it
Tome is a green obsidian, I just thought it'd be fun to have her as an obsidian buddy with Serizawa.
Inukawa is a brown moonstone cause of the simplicity of it's texture and luster and cuz he gets taken to the moon for a brief period and I thought it'd be funny to have his gemstone hint towards that. (One of his hands, which was left on the moon and prevents him from remembering his time there, probably just gets replaced with like quartz or something common like that.)
Tsubomi is a dark blue sapphire, dark enough to be mistaken as black and a "fancy sapphire" (which refers to sapphires that aren't blue). It's also one of the four precious gemstones.
Ekubo is an admiribilis, but I haven't thought of the lore behind him, and I haven't designed his true appearance because it's very difficult 😭

Once I finish up all the art that I've been needing to get done (since this sudden mp100 fixation put an enormous halt on it), I'll get back to drawing my HnK au pages!
So i had something else for today but then i thought it fit day 6 better but then i didnt have any other idea for this
Anyways today i was in a study pod for 5 hours and i couldn't open the container of a sandwhich i bought idek why i opened it easily previously but it was being very loud it had the people near me staring so have mob eating sandwhich and studying
Mob week day 3: powers but make it his gold alloy in HnK AU because i had to get gem au in this somehow 😝
I was gonna do something closer to ???% for conflict but then decided not to cause it was something i'd rather save for an illustration rather than doodle.
Finally got around to adding ekubo to my island in tomodachi life and within seconds of adding him and introducing him to reigen, reigen started crushing on him. (This is his third fucking crush)
Tomodachi life is gonna be what makes me draw ocs and canon characters interacting with eachother (i tend to keep them VERY far from eachother. But reigen going out of his way to keep interacting with one of my hnk ocs is very funny to me and i wanna draw it because it's such an odd friendship)
