My Little List of Thorki Fic Recs

+*How long we were fooled by Ark (Complete, 28k, E) - This fic is from Loki’s POV and oh boy is Loki great in it. I love how amoral and vicious he is in this fic. The story shows Thor and Loki’s lives together and is HEAVY on that angst. I LOVE their relationship in this. They’re both head over heels for each other for their entire lives and its just super intense.
^**Born to be Kings by Kadorienne (Complete, 66k, T) - Another Loki POV. This fic is honestly wonderful, it’s a for want of a nail fic where Odin got his sons from Jotunheim before Loki got the bad touch and so Odins plans to make Loki a puppet king of Jotunheim played out according to plan. Only Loki isn’t too keen on being a puppet. In this Thor and Loki have had an on again off again relationship for ages that keeps getting broken up when Odin discovers them and punishes them heavily for ‘incest’ which Loki resents when he learns he’s adopted. It’s a great fic that focuses more on Loki sorting out his shit as King than on thorki but I really, really, really recommend.
+just in it for the game by grim_lupine (Complete, 6k, E) - This fic is Thor’s POV and might I say it is ON POINT. All of the characters are hilarious and very in tune with their Ragnarok characterization. Basically Loki lets people on the ship believe he and Thor are fucking for shits and gigs and Thor Is Not Amused. Until he is. One thing I love about this fic is that there is no established relationship between Thor and Loki, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
+The Chain by Clarice Chiara Sorcha (Complete, 5k, E) - This is one of the earliest post-ragnarok fics that was posted, and certainly one of the first Hug Scene fill in. It’s a lovely fic that’s mostly smut so if you like that go ahead.
**Revelations by astolat (Complete, 58k, E) - Let’s be honest If you’re into thorki, you have probably read this along with everything else by astolat, but this is my favourite so I thought I’d share. If you haven’t read this fic please stop reading this list and go read all of astolat’s work. I love the feel of this fic, it really gives you a sense of Thor and Loki as gods, which is just great. The fic get’s kind of sad at points and Thor and Loki’s relationship is… weird. Less romantic partners and more… brothers with benefits… but it is really good.
^*While You’ve Been Saving Your Neck I’ve Been Breaking Mine by thisdorkyficthing (Complete, 23k, E) - I love this fucking fic. Basically Loki and Thor end up in an arranged marriage that has been planned for years. Little do the Asgardians know that Loki has been trained from a young age to assassinate Thor. And he does try! He just keeps failing and falling in love while he does it.

+From the Ashes by IAmJustAlways (me) (WIP, 36k, T) - So this is not a rec per se but I thought I’d chuck this out here. This is my long haul, slow burn post-ragnarok thorki WIP. It’s 3rd person in thor’s POV most of the time but also goes into other characters pov’s occasionally. When talking to people I say that this fic is basically addressing problems that the Asgardians and the other mcu characters will need to face post Ragnarok. From how the fuck do they rebuild a society from the ashes of the old one to who’s the big superpower in Yggdrasil now? Check it out if it sounds like your thing.
