Locked Out of Heaven || Chad & Ariana
Ariana was roaming the ball, her long dress trailing behind her, and her styled hair floating around her shoulders, with the only thing betraying her perfect composure the shiny streaks of tears that trailed her porcelain cheeks. She’d downed a few drinks at the bar, the man working at it wordlessly passing her more and more to gulp down, figuring from her expression that she’d fallen victim to the age old Vegas motto that surrounded the prestigious event. Now, on slightly unsteady legs and heels that made the already tall girl seem to reach about six feet, she was searching, blue eyes looking out in vain for someone she knew, preferably Blyss. She needed her friend, the brunette who knew everything about everyone, she’d know what to do.
A silhouette caught her eye, that of a boy leaning against the wall and with a gasp, she rushed over, reaching for his arm, pausing before the male to realize that it wasn’t Thomas at all, but a complete stranger. Looking at him sadly before releasing her grip, Ariana took a breath before stuttering, “I’m s-so sorry.” Her accent cut through her speech and she bit her lip, taking a step back as a fresh wave of tears coursed through her. “I thought you were someone else.”
Chad quickly turned his head when he felt a tug at his arm. A confused look appeared on his face immediately when he didn't recognize the girl. "It's no problem, no worries." He offered the blonde a warm smile, "Ariana, right? I'm not sure if you remember me, but you welcomed me to Easton a few days ago. I'm Chad." The sixteen year old had never been good around girls, but he since Josh was no where to be found, he needed to befriend someone. "This place is amazing, aha. I didn't expect it to be this extravagant," The dark eyed boy admitted.
He noticed that his new friend didn't have a drink in her hand, "Do you wanna get a drink or something?" Chad asked after sipping what was left of his Red Bull, "I definitely need a refill of this, haha. These things are really addicting." The amount of sugar in each can was ridiculous, and it definitely wasn't healthy that Chad had already consumed a full can within fifteen minutes & was going onto his second of the night. But, he needed something to keep him awake since he was up late the night before finishing his school work.
