@ayejjustin
Yeah. Next time.
Yep. Next time. With someone else.
Whatever. I’ll just make the decisions and everything else we need to do. You can go pick up the kids if you want.Â
You do that. Yeah, I think I will.Â
You’re not making anything fucking easier, Justin.Â
Sorry.
Me and Alaska went for a walk and she put a little white flower in her hair. My daughter is too cute.
It's all about the little things, man.
It’s not just about me, Justin. She’s your daughter too.Â
Don't worry about me.
Whatever. Do you want to? I don’t want to fight over this with you. Do you want to figure out what went wrong? I don’t know if I could handle it if I hear something I could have done better.
I'm not going to force anything on you. If you don't want to do it, fine, we won't.Â
Oh gosh. I’m so sorry Justin.Â
It's okay, I guess.
So we’re going to call whoever we can reach first and find our kids, I guess. I just want to go home. Did they say anything about that?
They did this morning, but I was half asleep and not paying attention.Â
Saying Our Goodbyes || Miley & Justin
Miley felt her legs become limp as the epidural finally started to kick in, soon enough she’d be fully numb and some of the pain she was feeling would go away. Holding Justin’s hand gently in hers, she rested her head on his chest. Hearing his question, Miley just gave a sigh as she rubbed her thumb over his hand soothingly. “Honestly? Not well at all. I’m terrified,” she mumbled, her blue eyes glazed over with fresh tears. Focusing her eyes on the ceiling, she hoped the tears wouldn’t escape their hold. “Are you okay?” Miley asked him, seeing right through his facade. “You don’t have to pretend to be around me. I get the kids, I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did,” she said, the guilt giving her an unpleasant churn in her stomach.Â
Running a free hand over her stomach gently, she couldn’t let the thoughts escape her mind. What was going to happen? Would everything be okay? It had to be. The couple stayed in a comfortable silence for a while until she heard the door open and footsteps coming in. Looking over she gave a small smile to the familiar doctor and nurses she’d seen for all three of her kids. The nurse helped her get comfortable as the doctor checked on her dilation. “You ready to have a baby?” the woman asked Miley, with a smile. Glancing at Justin, Miley just nodded. “As ready as I’ll ever be,” she said with a light laugh.Â
The nurses and doctor got Miley into position to push. Grabbing Justin’s hand, she gave a squeeze of reassurance, hoping to reassure herself and him. Pushing her hair out of her face, she waited for the doctor to be ready and got started on her deep breaths, millions of thoughts running through her mind. “Give me a big push, Miley,” the doctor said, looking up at the distressed girl. Pushing as hard as she could, she squeezed her eyes shut and screamed out in pain. She knew the epidural wasn’t going to take away all of the pain, but it seemed like it took much more the time before. Feeling a cool rag lightly dab on her face, she squeezed Justin’s hand tightly the few times the doctor told her to push. “She’s so small but hurts like a bitch,” Miley gasped, tears of pain escaping her eyes.Â
"One last push," said the doctor as she saw the baby girl’s head crowing. Giving one last, long push, Miley felt a release in her body and fell limp onto the hospital bed. "She’s here," the doctor said, looking over the baby. Her eyes scrunching when the baby didn’t show any sign of reaction or ever open her eyes. "Why isn’t she crying?" Miley breathed out, panic filling her body. Checking for a pulse on the baby, the doctor didn’t find any and followed the procedures for any baby. Performing the procedures to try and get the baby’s heart beating like it was just minutes ago, she looked up at the parent’s terrified eyes. "I’m so sorry.. She passed away during birth," the doctor told them watching as tears formed in Miley’s eyes. "N-no. You’re lying, she’s fine, she has to be fine," Miley said, her voice slowly raising until she was screaming, tears pouring out of her eyes. Looking at the small baby in the doctors hands, more tears poured out seeing that her baby wasn’t moving, or breathing. Looking up at Justin, her breathing faltered as her eyes moved from him to their baby, her body shaking with tears.Â
Justin sat in an uncomfortable position in the small hospital bed, holding Miley against him. He let out a quiet sigh and ran his hands through her blonde locks of hair. His nerves took over his body as he heard her speak up to answer his question. It’s not that he was surprised by what she was feeling, because in an odd way, he was feeling the exact same way. “Don’t be,” he mumbled, attempting to begin a short pep talk. “Everything will be okay, alright? You’ve taken such good care of that little girl, there’s no way she won't be okay.” Justin glanced down at her, noticing the tears threatening to fall from her eyes. He decided not to comment on it, though, and focus on her rather predictable question. “I’m fine,” he nodded simply, no wanting any of the attention to be focused on him. “The kids would’ve been frightened either way, Miles. Their mom being rushed to the hospital isn’t an everyday thing,” he informed, thoughts of his other two children flooding his mind.
Some time passed, everything going on combining into one giant nightmare. He didn’t know what the outcome would be of this emergency delivery, and quite frankly, he wasn’t ready to find out. Justin had a strong, disgusting feeling in his stomach that things might not go as the pair assumed they would. He bit his lip, acting as a sort of gate to hold in his river of emotions that were dead set on breaking out. His hand reached down to his pitiful fiancĂ©e, holding on to her small hand as though it was the last thing he would ever do. Â
His eyes widened, faintly hearing the doctor prompt Miley to start her last push, not realizing he zoned out for the last few minutes. A smile spread across his face, seeing the little girl in the doctor’s arms. The moment of happiness lasted all of a second after taking notice that the baby had yet to let out a cry. Justin turned back to Miley and leaned down to her level, trying to calm her down the best he could without letting his own panic shine through. He wanted to say something, to make this a moment of happiness, even if it was filled with pure sadness. The doctor, however, shattered his plan of having a happy birthday for the tiny tot as he regretfully announced that their strong little girl lost the short fight during the birthing process. He felt a single tear fall down his face, but quickly wiped it away, not wanting to fall apart when Miley needed him the most. Justin silently sat down on the side of the bed and pulled the broken woman into his arms as she began to break down, not knowing what else to do.
I feel you.
Oh hey Bieber. Why so tired?
Miley went into labor earlier... The baby didn't make it.
I’m positive they’re awake. Sure, just press call.
Okay.. Who are they with? These IV’s hurt like hell.Â
My mom, I think. Give it a few hours and I'm sure they'll take them out.
I’m so stressed and exhausted.
I feel you.
Why don’t you give the kids a call? Let them know you’re okay, try to focus on something else for a minute.
I guess. I just hope they’re awake. Probably will be with the amount of sugar they’re probably intaking. Can I have your phone..?
I'm positive they're awake. Sure, just press call.
I know it’s not… but at least she’s not suffering, right? We don’t know what she would be like if she made it through. I guess God knew better than we did. He needed her for something, Mi.Â
She would have been okay.. We could have gotten her treatments for whatever she’d need.. It’d be dealt with.. I need her. I need her right now. I need to cuddle my newborn baby and I can’t. I need to take her home..
Why don't you give the kids a call? Let them know you're okay, try to focus on something else for a minute.
It’s okay.. We’ll handle it together, like you said.. T-this isn’t f-fair.
I know it's not... but at least she's not suffering, right? We don't know what she would be like if she made it through. I guess God knew better than we did. He needed her for something, Mi.Â
Can you not fucking say that? Maybe she wouldn’t have been. She’s our fucking daughter, you can’t just get over it the second you find out. At least I can’t. I just- Can’t you just come and cuddle me? Just for right now, that’s all I want. Not to fight over this, that’s the last thing I can handle right now.
I'm sorry, I just– I honestly just don't know how to handle this. Of course, beautiful. There's nothing else I'd rather do.
I will do it Justin. Maybe I can even take care of Mase and Em so you two can have a little date.Â
That's a good idea for once things settle down. I might take you up on that offer.
