I come to you with an appeal that is heavy on my heart and that I had never imagined..
I look at you from under the war and the continuous bombing of us in all its forms that the human or animal soul cannot comprehend.
I am Ayman Qandeel, an engineer from Gaza City - Palestine. I hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
I graduated from the Faculty of Engineering a month before the war and started working with my father who had a private engineering office that was completely destroyed and everything in it after my father built it with all its beauty after long years of suffering and it is our only source of income.
I have a beautiful family that loves life as it loves it and lives it with all its details.
My family consists of 7 members.
Part of our house was destroyed at the beginning of the war, which was our only outlet and our only place to spend our evenings and gatherings on 10/8/2023
After the Israeli army entered Rafah, we were displaced to Mawasi Khan Yunis and have remained in tents until this moment.
We have lived and are still living the harshest types of genocide in every sense of the word: displacement, destruction, exit from the bombing, pollution, epidemics, and difficulty sleeping because of the sound of planes and bombing that did not stop for a second.
Has the world become barren or are we not fit to improve? For life or what?
After much thought and discussions with my family, we have decided to look for a way out for my family.
I believe that the only way to secure a safe and prosperous future for us is to leave Gaza and start over.
But doing so requires resources that I cannot collect on my own.
We need $50,000 to cover the costs of leaving Gaza and establishing ourselves in a safer country where we can rebuild our lives. Here is a breakdown of our needs:
$35,000: to cover the costs of leaving Gaza ($5,000 per person).
$14,000: For housing, living expenses, and other necessities abroad for a year.
$1,000: Approximate GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).
Leaving Gaza is not an easy decision.
It means saying goodbye to the place we’ve always called home and the people we love. But it’s a decision driven by a father’s love and determination to protect his children from a life of fear and deprivation.
By donating to our campaign, you are not just helping us escape; you are giving my family the chance to grow up in a safe environment, to attend school, to have a future free from the horrors of war.
