‘'I do know a few from talking to him, yeah.’'  She smiled.  ’'I can have Cora here in like, two seconds.’'  Gabriel winked.  Her expression sobered a bit and she nodded.  ’'If you see any archangel, but especially Michael, you run and don't be a hero, okay?  Your Daddy or I will handle him.’'  She smiled sadly.  ’'I have to tell Cora to do the same thing.’'  Gabriel stroked her hand through Lucy's hair.  ’'Cora, baby, come to Momma.’

The fledgling appeared, smiling at her mother and the cousin she had yet to meet.  ’'Whassup, Mama?’’  Gabriel snorted  and stroked her hand through Cora's hair.  ’'Baby girl, meet your cousin, Lucy.’'  Cora rocked on her heels and beamed.  ’'Howdy!’’

Lucy was a mix of excitement and nervousness when Gabriel mentioned something about having one of her children come in like two seconds.  The little demon wasn't used to meeting others from her family.  But she smiled, adding a nodd as well, when her aunt winked at her.  The thought of actually running into Michael really made her curious.  "Okay, I will run if I see him." 

When her cousin showed up, Lucy smiled and watched.  "Hi."  She wasn't sure what else to say.  "Do you like to play games?"  Typical question from the demon but she always wanted to know.

She smiled.  ’'Well, I know some demons.  I'll talk to your Daddy and see if I can take you to meet them.  I wouldn't let you get hurt.  You can meet some of your cousins too if you want.’'  Gabriel smiled gently.

At her question, she tilted her head.  ’'Michael.’'  And Lucifer, but she wouldn't say that.  ’'When he kicked your Daddy out, he scared me.  I avoid him as much as I can: not because I want to but because he might hurt me.’’

"You know demons?"  Thinking a little, she realized it would be normal.  Since she was close to her Dad.  "You mean since you talk to Daddy, then you know a few demons?"  Her aunt was just getting better and better in her mind.  "I'd like to meet them.  Both my siblings and my cousins."  Though the thought of meeting them made her a bit nervous, but she'd never say it.  Smiling back, she listened more.

"If I ever meet Michael, I should run, shouldn't I?  Since he doesn't like daddy, right?"  A lot of angels angered her, but they scared her as well.  But she didn't like to show her fears around anybody normally.  "He shouldn't hurt you.  Daddy wouldn't be happy if he did.  I wouldn't be either."  A glare crossed the child's face as she spoke.  Lucy wasn't close with many of her family but the ones she was, if anybody hurt them, she'd do what she could to show them that they did the wrong thing.

‘'No, it's a necklace he used to wear and gave to me.’'  She smiled.  As Lucy spoke, Gabriel just smiled brighter.  ’'I'm lucky to have him.  We have fought before but he will always be my brother and he will never lose my love.  Don't take your siblings for granted, little one, when you most need them they might be the only thing you have.  But I am sorry she teases you.’'  She sat down and gestured for Lucy to join her.  ’'What would you like to know?’’

She giggled softly.  "It's pretty."  The words about not taking her siblings for granted was something she had never thought of before.  And she'd never met her one sister, Meg, until recently.  The other siblings of hers had yet to introduce themselves to her.  "I've only met Meg so far.  None of the others speak to me..."  It normally wouldn't bother her but now she wanted to meet them.  When the angel sat down and gestured to her, she ran over and sat down with her.  "Is there any of your siblings that you are scared of?"

‘'Kiddo, I know how to be safe.  Don't worry.’'  She smiled.  As Lucy followed her instructions, she smiled.  At her question, she laughed a little.  ’'You have an angel for a daddy but this is actually a necklace your Daddy gave me.  He used to wear it and when I was really little and scared because he was going on a mission, he gave this to me and said, 'no matter where we are, you will always have me with you.' and I felt better.  He was the most beautiful and to me, he still is.  Most of our family is just…well, stupid.  We don't listen to them anymore.’'  She gave another wink.

Reassurance was the best thing for Lucy to hear.  She just didn't want to lose her only family member, besides Azazel, that was close to Lucifer.  It would hurt her more then she would ever admit.  "So it's not his feather?"  The story got her smiling.  "He's lucky to have you as a sister.  I have a sister, and a brother, but my sister likes teasing me.  I don't like it."  Meg wasn't always the most friendliest of demons to deal with.  "Can you tell me about your family?  I don't usually like angels but I'm curious."  Stupid, that's what they were?  She wondered if it was because they didn't like Lucifer.  Or if it was something else.  "What should I do if I meet any of them?"

‘'They do’'  She laughed.  ’'I won't get your Daddy angry.  If he seems like he'll be angry, I'll just drop it.  But I can get away with a lot.’'  Gabriel winked at her.  ’'Now, if you want to see I need you to stand real still.  This grace could hurt you and I don't want you to get burned, so I'll protect you but you gotta remain still.’'  Once Lucy was clear on that, she put a protective bubble around her in a way that also would not hurt her.  Once she was sure her neice would be safe, she pulled the feather necklace out and dropped the guard she had around it.  The grace shone white-hot and bright, though to Gabriel it felt intensely warm as well.  It made her feel comforted, and if she was going to give it to Lucy, she and Lucifer would have to figure something out.  Finally, she put it away and dropped the bubble.  ’'He's beautiful now and he was beautiful then.’’

"Okay....I don't want you hurt."  It was something she didn't want to happen.  Her father had a lot of power and, even though she wasn't sure about all of it just yet, she knew he could do some real damage.  The wink got her smiling again.  The instructions she was given, she nodded quickly and stayed very still.  When the necklace started shining, the little demon's eyes shone in delight.  It was so bright and pretty.  That was another reason she couldn't figure out.  Why others called her father 'ugly'.  He was nothing close to being ugly.  "That's a feather of Daddy's wings?"  When Gabriel put it away, it saddened Lucy a bit.  "I'm happy to have an angel for a daddy!"  The look of awe in the small child's eyes backed up the words she spoke.  "I always thought he was.  Most beautiful angel.  That's why I can't understand why others call him ugly.  But that's probably because they don't get to know him, like always, huh?"

‘'Course I do!  Who couldn't love those cute little dogs?’'  She smiled.  At the mention of a many headed one, she smiled again.  ’'I've met those kinds of hellhounds before.  I can't make you any promises - Lucifer does what he wants to do - but I will try to see if I can get him to give a little on that.’'  She wasn't surprised he had said that and didn't make Lucy feel bad about it.  ’'Your Daddy got dealt a bad hand in life but it doesn't change that he is a good person, and not nearly as bad as everyone says he is for sure.’'  He clearly meant a lot to Gabriel.  ’'Wanna see how bright your Daddy used to be before everything happened?’’

"They slobber a lot."  Lucy giggled happily.  The child just looked at her in wonder when Gabriel mentioned about talking to Lucifer about getting her a many headed dog.  "Don't get Daddy angry, okay?  He's scary when he's angry.  I mean, Dad is bad enough and can usually calm Daddy down, but I try to get out of the way from his anger."  It was the only real thing that scared her the most.  She had witnessed Lucifer's anger on more then one occasion, a couple of times it was directed at her.  But maybe due to how close Gabe was to her father, maybe she could get away with it.  More then Lucy could.  Nodding some, she was happy somebody agreed with her.  If another angel could see Lucifer as she did, then Lucy respected them more then ever.  Gabriel was gaining Lucy's trust and respect faster then most.  "Yes!  I want to see!"  The thought of seeing how bright he was before was sort of hard for the little demon to imagine.  He was bright now so this was intriguing to her.
