It's not that I think Gabe would've been a "good influence" to Jack but I do think that he would have been better adjusted and had less self esteem issues if at least one of his parental figures wasn't modeling the self destructive noble hero complex like his life depended on it. Like my guy would've been a lot less hung up on accidentally hurting or killing someone one or two times if Gabriel "murder is ok as long as it's funny or personally benefits me" supernatural had been there to put an arm around him about it 💖.

My questions is people of tumblr, I’m beginning to introduce Jack in an au fic which would have him being looked after by Gabriel, how old should he be?

Generally not a fan of baby!Jack but if Jack had had the chance to be a child then I like to imagine uncle Gabe doing that thing where you toss kids into the air and catch them again except because they're inhuman freaks, he tosses Jack all the way up to the clouds and Jack keeps screaming to be thrown higher.

Imagining late seasons Gabriel alive living in the bunker makes me feral bc everything he tried keeping close to his chest his entire life is out in the open. The Winchesters have seen all of it, from his blatant cruelty to things that Gabriel would rather die in a hole than have anyone see. But now the Winchesters know Gabriel better than he ever wanted to be known...and they like him! Despite everything, they actually want him there! And adjusting to life in the bunker would be strange at first, but he had Cas there and he has a whole nephew he needs to get to know. Time passes and things actually start to feel normal and Gabe realizes that for the first time in what feels like forever, he's surrounded by actual friends and family who care about him for who he is 💖💖.

It’s actually a crime that Jack “I like nougat” Kline never got to have a proper conversation with Gabriel about literally any type of sweets or chocolate bars.

I know I've said that Gabriel would be such a great archangel mentor to Jack but I take that back he would do that dad thing where they just say the wildest shit so matter-of-factly and Jack knows fuck all about heaven so he takes it all at face value.
