Last weekend myself and @alex_e_04 spent a bit of time in between equipment checks testing out the Torc Precision SF-DI Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 distraction devices for my upcoming review. We ran out some HFR capture with the Sony RX100 Mk6 (1000 frames per second) alongside my GoPro 9 for ‘demo purposes’ for the review. Managed to get some decent captures of the 12guage blanks and 9mm blanks on camera. Seriously considering renting a production quality SlowMo camera for a shoot sometime and set off a range of pyro. We’ll get some higher frame rates and higher resolution footage. Mail Call, finally after about a month of waiting it arrived. The metal slide for my HK45. We have all the bits that came in from Japan for it, the sight options, a backup out barrel and the actual Detonator HK45 slide. Was sat a week in a Parcelforce delivery office because they hadn’t bothered to send the letter with the stupid reference code so I could pay customs charges. I think I will be recording the video for the build tonight or tomorrow, so I can get it up this week. Been waiting too long to finish this one. Which will give me more time to play with the @somogear2020 CQBL-1 review I had planned to film tonight. Mail call, few parts for a big project... Really going to have to knuckle down on this one. Converting an @tokyo_marui MWS CQBR into a 416D with the CAG rail in black. We have a whole bunch of stuff here, the @angryguncompany 416D MWS GBB Conversion kit with Short SMR rail in black. Then Maple Leaf Crazy Jet barrel and Autobot bucking, a @laylaxdesign Hop Unit and Heavy Hop arm. Then to finish things off we have a real @magpul CTR Stock and MOE+ pistol grip. I am planning to record this build, not sure how many parts it will turn out to be so keep an eye out on the YT channel for the details. But of a test shoot morning, ran the upgraded USP Compact through some test shots and it is pretty nice. But my pistol shooting this morning is pretty crap accuracy wise was a little cold and was a little shaky. The star of the morning was the MP7A1 I finished the upgrades on last night. Couple of wayward shots as I figured out the hop and zero. But after that really consistent. I was shooting closer than the 25m scope zero and I did a few rounds that lower than aimed but the grouping was really good. Not much spread at all. Just off streaming adding the upgrades to my @tokyo_marui MP7A1. Finished sorting the barrel, nozzle and recoil spring. Did have an issue with the replacement Creation Recoil Spring Guide causing the bolt to stick when cocking. Have to re-upload the video due to the video dropping out 20 mins in. Will put it live again in a couple of days, after doing an edit and transcode. Mail call, parts delivery from Japan. We have a bunch of MP7A1 parts for my @tokyo_marui MP7. We have a new recoil spring, nozzle and a couple of barrel parts to allow the use of longer barrels. I have already dropped in a new 150mm Maple Left Crazy Jet inner barrel. Which prompted the need for the barrel parts as the stock TM one restricts the inner barrel to something like 145mm length. So in theory I could drop a much longer barrel in and run it through a suppressor. I think I may live stream the remainder of the MP7 build tomorrow or Friday evening on YouTube and Twitch. As I suspect it will be a long job. Mail call from @somogear2020, couple of nice additions. So picked up the their CQBL-1 IR and Vis aiming laser along with their Surefire M300 clone. Also picked up a couple of their augmented pressure switch. Got one of their G&P DBAL wired pressure switches and one wired for the sonogram devices. So far looks nice quality will get the aiming laser mounted to something later and test it out when it is dark. So didn’t buy this Sig Air MCX Virtus to review, sort of bought to use as a base for another project. Not sure though if it will actually be possible. Now I have it in my hands. Will be doing a little more with it later in the week however to investigate what is possible. It is basically the same VFC gearbox to the Novritsch SSR-15 but the exterior quality is strides ahead of the SSR-15. Just finished doing a recorded session upgrading my old @tokyo_marui HK45 Tactical. Added a new HK45 120mm Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel, an RA Tech HK45 Outer Barrel, Flamingo 50A bucking and a Laylax Nineball Hammer Spring. Delivery today of some more parts for the USP compact build. The new slide and sights came for the build. I am waiting on a piston which I have managed to find that may fit to come. Also got recoil and hammer springs coming from Japan too. I think will be working on the build at the weekend give the extra parts time to turn up.
