It’s been a while!!!

As many of you may know… there is a Homestuck resurgence on the rise.

On Sunday of Saboten (2025, yes you heard me) we have quite a few of the original members of our community cosplaying Homestuck! I’m considering putting an actual meetup together if enough people are interested. I know tumblr isn’t exactly the main form of communication now but I figured there has to be a few people left.

Tug those old cosplays out of the corner of your closet and join us!

hi!! is anything happening (homestuck meetup/photoshoot/etc) at sabotencon this year?

I(mod tavros) will not be attending saboten con this year, HOWEVER there is a homestuck panel the first day! Im not sure when that day, but I know it's happening!

ALRIGHT AND FINALLY some pictures from the PHXCC meetup! Thank you everyone who participated and dealt with the fact we couldnt go to out normal spot because of the high security! Also thank you for being respectful during trivia and the actual ahoot, we were able to get the pics without being in the way! ALSO BIG THANK TO ELLIOT AND EROM FOR HELPING ME DO CROWD CONTROL. With just one person with very little sight at the time, it was a big help to settle the big group! You guys rock! Id like to apoligize that these were my only pics! My phone broke and i was on a temporary one that took bad photos it also died midway through so many of the fun adventures we had simply were not caught on camera! CONGRATES TO THE 3 TRIVIA WINNERS! Matsuri Fest

Hey guys! Just you yearly reminder with Matsuri Fest coming up! We want to be respectful as possible, especially considering we get a bad rap for this each year. If you plan on cosplaying for Matsuri Fest, please dont do homeatuck cosplays! Homestuck is an american based comic, and this is a Japanese Festival, not an anime convention! End of the Year Meetup!

So this year has been....yeah... So how about one more meetup this year to end with a bang! This meetup is going to be run by madradkarkat on instagram so any and all questions please direct them to him! Alright info time! When: December 31, 2016 from 12 to 4pm Where: Arrowhead Mall 7700 w arrohead towne center Glendale, az 85308 Everyone meet at the AMC theatet And some rules! 1. No face paint 2. No running 3. No yelling 4. No masks/covering you face 5. Have fun! The mall is pretty strict so these rules are so the mall doesnt kick us out and ban cosplayers like other malls have. Alright guys i hope to see you there! Lets end 2016 good!

WHO’S READY FOR THE OFFICIAL AZSTUCK MEETUP? hey everyone! With saboten con just a few days away it’s finally time to release the official information for the azstuck Meetup! Buckle up because her we go! When: sunday, 2 o clock Where: the grassy area behind the restaurants, across the street from where the convention is being held. We were here for Phoenix Comicon but this time it will not be as hot! RULES: NO SPIN THE FAYGO - the age Gap is too large to play this game. Even if we separate into different groups, we will not have the means to check everyone’s age to make sure there’s no one lying. This is for everyone’s safety, young and old. - with everyone starting to get sick we don’t want to help the spread of con flu. - not everyone’s makeup is sealed so there is a possibility of not only ruining your cosplay but someone else’s. PLEASE QUIET DOWN WHEN THE MODS ARE TALKING - we have had this problem that when the mods are trying to get information out of what we are currently doing we have many people trying to talk over us. To help spread the information quickly and efficiently please cut the chatter down. - many friends in the AZstuck Community are hard of hearing. Please be considerate of them as I do not know enough sign language to help spread the information. LEAVE THE DRAMA AT THE DOOR - Regardless of what azstuck used to be, we no longer accept drama of any kind posted in the tag or at meetups. We are trying to make this a fun atmosphere for everyone involved. - if you have beef with somebody in the community, that is your beef. That is not everybody else’s. - if you do see somebody that you disagree with their leave it to your self. We will not be having any negative confrontations at this meet up. We also don’t want any negative talk. If you do need to talk to somebody please walk away from the meet Up and pull them aside. If you take any pictures of the Meetup please tag them as #AZstuck or #azstuckfun. If you know anybody in those photos please tag them also! We also have an Instagram! If you post any photos to Instagram be sure to tag them as #Arizonastuck We can’t wait to see everybody there and we hope to see the amazing cosplays you guys have come up with! And if you do not have a cosplay, that’s all fine and dandy! We are happy that you came anyways to enjoy the fun! WHOS READY FOR SOME PANEL AUDITIONS?!

So we got the word that our sleepover panel was also accepted! There are two sleepover panels at saboten this year, so lets not get them confused and send love to both! How to audition? Be fun and exciting! Send a message to either @terpepy or @ectobiologist with any panel history, a picture of your cosplay, and a short paragraph why you should be in it! Never been in a panel before? Thats okay! We are looking for anyone who wants to be in it! Plus, we are all gonna be in pjs!

When: Sunday night, 11:30-2am! 2 HOURS OF PURE HOMESTUCK FUN!

Open Auditions for Ladies Night

Welcome to Apocalypstick, the Homestuck ladies night panel! Have a burning question for one of the girls? Ready for some wild slumber party games? Come on down and join the fun! We’ll be hosting this lovely panel at Saboten-con 2016. Auditions are open to any and all homestuck ladies! This includes Trolls, Dancestors, Calliope, etc. Non-binary characters may be approved on a case-by-case basis. This is a sleepover type panel so we are looking for pajama costumes but canon ones are not required. We already have positions filled for Jade, Roxy, Porrim, and Nepeta but are looking for all other Homestuck girls.

If you’re interested please fill out this audition form and submit it to [email protected]  DM me or Kit (@milkghostie or @xiubilationlee) concerning auditions. Have a few pictures of your cosplay ready, and be prepared for a voice audition over Skype. Auditions are open until July 25th.

Hey guys, I've been running azstuck since 2013 but I haven't been in the Fandom for 2 years now. I'm giving up mod privileges because I don't ever do anything on the blog so I'm leaving it to the other mods. Please keep it alive. I met a lot of my friends through azstuck and I hope everyone who follows this blog does too. Peace!

Some updates: Hanna and I are going to more than likely setting up a paypal/kickstarter for the promstuck event sometime soon. The last promstuck dug into a lot of pocket money and although we would LOVE to pay for everything ourselves, thats just not feasible seeing as we’re college students. We want to make this event really great and fun for everyone!! It takes a lot of hard work to host these kinds of things, but we’re going to be putting a lot of time and effort into it. What we’re hoping for is to have everything set up by winter break BUT We will be planning some really fun meetups in the meantime  Stay tuned! - David
