Tumblr is rolling out a new reblog/notes system that completely disregards creators. In their new system, they're taking a twitter-style approach where reblogs will have their own notes that DO NOT contribute to the original post's notes.
Because of this, creators will no longer be able to see an accurate display of likes/reblogs/etc. This is completely altering the way feedback and responses to works are going to be received on this website.
If you come across a fan work that you enjoy, please take the extra step to go to OPs original post, and leave your comment/like/reblog there. Or go one step further and send an ask to OP directly to tell them what you liked!
I really hope Tumblr staff reverses course and reverts to the original reblog system for the sake of the large base of creators who use this site to share their works, but until then, please be considerate and make sure the creators here see/feel the love.
Slime Princess is more or less the same as her OOO counter part in Bug World! :) Lots of the denizens of her Kingdom (that aren't fellow slime people) are of the slime enjoying variety.
The snails/slugs aren't as large in OOO. With the exception of Giant Land Snails.

Bug World's Slime Princess
"Sup, Liam!"
[The Slime Princess is more or less, similar to her counterpart in OOO. Though she is slightly more serious, with Bug World's Beasts running around and her worrying about her kingdom's denizens]
[Her two "advisors", party buddies a lot of the time, are named Dewy and Veevee! Dewy the Springtail helps with records and planning Beast Defense plans. While Veevee actively helps combat Beasts with Slime Princess!]
[Slime Kingdom is home to slime loving beetles, velvet worms, slugs, springtails, and slugs. Though many varieties of worms call the place home too. Of all places in Bug World, its honestly the chillest place to live, though eating mushrooms, slime molds, slime itself, bones, and moss may not be everyone's cup of tea. ...And the occasional decomposing Beast corpse.]

[Liam doesn't frequently make visits to the Slime Kingdom, but the two are acquainted with each other because of Slime Princess' friendship with Princess Bubblegum.]
[They're on good terms, despite Liam not enjoying the texture of Slime Kingdom. The two Princesses held birthday parties for both Liam and Finn. Said birthdays were their "found days" when they were rescued from the aftermath of Beast attacks.]

[The velvet worms really don't tolerate any Beast nonsense. Even without the Princess, they'd attack any Beasts big or small the moment they see them. Those who do are geared up in armour too!
[Beasts don't really come to her kingdom, with it being underground, besides the burrowing ones. When that happens, she and her Velvet Worms go and goo them up! The Beasts either suffocate or get so repulsed by it, that they don't attempt approaching again.]
Still working on Scarab calendar drawings! I'm just a little more than halfway done with coloring them now but the ones with more detail (like this one) are taking me a while 😭

I need to draw more of Scarab just being a big bro with Finn and Jake while Liam's off doing their courier work, I have some silly adventures planned out with the three of them heheh
Scarab rarely shows off his antennae in Bug World during the time Liam is human, mainly when they're alone together or he wants to make sure of something. They also get to see his rare humorous side fairly frequently!
When Liam and him decided to keep the eggs they both had, he eventually doted and cared for them more than he'd like to admit initially (Liam teases him about it).
Was trying to make @lavoszero's Liam in FA, but I already found a perfect fit in the auction house.

Fittingly, the gaoler I found looks more like their human/past form, so I suppose this would mirror their ascention! And of course, the pet I gave them is a bloodstone beetle. I'm also thinking of making one for Katherine, with a matching pet.
Even though this isn't an ask blog per se, I'm open to answering questions about my Bug World AU and how characters from the og OOO world would look like in Liam's world 👍

Liam's Time in Bug World

Much to their human mother's dismay, Liam was born with natal teeth, specifically their canines, complete with healthy roots.
The teeth were due to Myriaxanthus' influence.

Even during their time in the bunker city, Liam roamed around frequently and let their curiosity lead them. When living in the Hives they wre supervised by the Beast Rescue Crew members but still given free range to explore.
They had simple tasks like collecting earth worms to help with decomposition piles. Which was great for them because they loved playing in the mud!

In their teen years they spent a good chunk of time studying with Gemma nd Princess Bubblegum. The other chunk of time was training with Mr. Horrid on how to be a Hunter.
After the end of their training with Mr. Horrid, and Marcy here and there, they began to express interest in becoming a courier and begun training within the Hive's delivery systems.

Liam's early twenties was the start of them officially doing training as a courier! They weren't allowed to go extremely long distances just yet, unless they had an older Courier with them. But they were allowed to scout for new Hive areas and safe zones along their delivery routes.
When Jake was found by the Beast Attack Rescue Crew, they put him under Liam's care.
Grub that usually roam away from hives to eat are encouraged to have designated caretakers, hence the Crew picking Liam to care for him.
Despite them not being a courier yet, their main job between 25 years old and 30 years old, was being a scout for their Hive. Ironically that had them traveling further distances than Couriers. However, its a prerequisite to be a Scout for a long period of time before becoming an official Courier. Being a good scout shows that packages and mail would be in good hands.

At 27, Liam and Jake started actively hunting beasts and participating in Guild managed hunts! This is also the time when Vera deemed them ready to get their usual Carapace armor that their deceased friends left to them.
After they arrive back to their home Hive, Vera surprises them with it, along with a newer sword.
The duo also frequently spends time at Candy Kingdom to give Princess Bubblegum and Gemma beast parts or trinkets they find in their travels.

The Beast Attack Rescue Crew finds Finn and he's placed in Liam's care while they've just started doing Courier work. He's usually wrapped in Silk blankets around Liam, but Jake helps carry him around too.
Liam gains popularity as a courier for being able to go places most insect couriers tend to avoid, like the Mushroom Forests, Ice Kingdom, and Fire Kingdom.
When visiting said places, Jake is the main caretaker of Finn. They stayed at more humanoid and mutate centric Inns when such courier work had to be dealt with. Since Liam didn't really trust some insect folk to not try to get a small human snack.
Got around to finally drawing Simon with how he looks like in Bug World AU when he's safely revived from out of the ice he's stuck in! He has the white tuff of hair still because of the stress of magical influence he was figuratively and literally stuck in by Ice Queen
I'll get back to doing more comics for Liam's story soon, just been tackling a lot of big projects and work searching 👍
