i’m a bit obsessed with a ball of sunshine known as Naruto Uzumaki

thinking of an added feature to how konoha education is, this being there is a age limit and once you’ve reached that age you can longer attend school. I want to explore this option and give reason as to why naruto constantly failed, danzo essentially wanted to age him out the system where it would give him more control over naruto.

This part of minato manga has been on my mind for a while and I plan to make an in depth post about it. It’s quite interesting how Mito states how the Uzumaki clan was used in battle and essentially drowned in it. It’s clear she’s talkin about the clan being used to take the brunt of the damage, many losing their lives which overall would weakened the clan. Another part is where she mentioned that the clan was known for how well they harnessed the natural wind element; we are aware that the clan lived near swirls so the fact they were able to maintain it showcase their strength. But this gives us another insight into what the clan was capable of.

the craziest dynamic that goes unexplored is how adults failed Sasuke by not being there while the adults were There for Naruto but it still fucked him up 💀

The adults were in sasukes life but unlike naruto who is desperate for connection and bonds from being abandoned and neglected his whole life sasuke is aware of what love is so even at a young age he can definitely tell who has his best interest in mind. In comparison to naruto who’s blindsided he’s not aware that majority of the adults in his life are shaping him to be a mindless solider to defend konoha at the cost of his own humanity. He isn’t given the chance to question konoha nor do they truly acknowledge what he has gone through when none of their pains can compare to his.

The 3rd didn’t give a shit and just left him money sometimes and when he’s like ‘why don’t I have parents?’ instead of just being like ‘kid they died’ he goes 'sTOP ASKING QUESTIONS!!’ also where was jiraya?? hello? your student had a kid and then he died and they named the kid after your shitty oc and you’re not even going to help take care of it?? even until he can maybe take care of himself?? This reminds me when i got into it on twitter with this supposed team 7 stan who claimed naruto treatment had to do with his behavior not because of being a jinchuuriki which is crazy cause the first thing we’re told in the pilot is that he gets treated like shit because of that. There’s so many people who hate naruto and make up things to excuse their hatred but there’s no valid reason to hate him. all the characters are failed by the author yet someone when it’s naruto it’s on him? that makes no sense

naruto uzumaki is as much of a victim of kishimoto’s shitlib politics as sasuke but he didn’t respond to his trauma in the way people would have liked so he’s written off as being one-dimensional and singularly complicit in comparison to other characters despite how systemic his oppression is. in this essay, I will—

Thinking about writing out a scene for kushina. I like the idea of how Kushina skill set isn’t widely known due to the fat she’s often kept in the village but there are certain missions she has to be part of it. In those cases Minato would of course be present as well as the most skilled to ensure her protection. Oftentimes these missions would be diplomatic so her presence is needed. I want to write out how her teammates which often change see her as a nuance not believing her skill set is at their levels and that she will bring the team down.

However there would be a moment where Kushina would be kidnapped once the enemy realized who she was due to one of her teammates blurting out her last name rather than referring to her by codename. Kushina alongside the diplomatic figure would be kidnapped by an enemy village that was sent out to assassinat them. However due to many belittling Kushina skill set she’d be able to escape.

I plan to write this out as if it was an actual scene and hopefully maybe I can find an artist to commission this mini manga idea.

doing a bit of research for my post about the uzumaki fighting style and how it’s linked to cultural dances and stumbled upon Capoeira which is an afro brazilian indigenous style of dance which is also viable with combat and honestly never seen something so perfect that it fits the concept I am creating for the Uzumaki clan. the fighting style without weapons would focus heavy on Kushina I feel like this style alongside using her hair as her weapon similar to Aira from dandadan would work so well for her character. Her channeling her chakra into her hair causing it to move and be used in battle alongside Capoeira would bode so well for her character. For Mito i’m looking at fan dances that translate well with battle and honestly i can’t wait to share this post.

Certified Brasilian here (and I did capoeia as a child), I'm sure you already know most of the things I'm going to say, but here are some personal takes about this:

1. Capoeira is a very acrobatic fighting style, which actually matches with Naruto himself

The boy can't keep himself in the ground for long, so he's always jumping around, kicking people into the air.

2. Capoeira is a kick based fighting style, if you watch a Roda de Capoeira you will quickly notice that

And the thing about this is that, if you are using in the Naruto universe, while the characters are jumping and kicking enemies into the air that kinda leaves their hands free to make handsigns and Justus, and that would fit with the Uzumaki clan specially well bc they do specialize in selling jutsu.

So let's imagine a quick scenario base on a imagine for fun:

Let's say the Uzumaki is the guy on top and the other is a random ninja, okay?

So the Uzumaki do a crazy kick, but barley misses the target, because the random ninja was so worried about dodging that, he is in a compromised position when suddenly chains grow around his body, he didn't even notice the Uzumaki making handsigns because he was looking at his feet the whole time worrying about the areal kicks and acrobacies.

You know how Guy learned how to fight Kakashi/Sharingan users by not looking them at the eyes, because he would get into a genjutsu otherwise? It's like that, but the Uzumakis are using their taijutsu, kicks and jumpings to distract their opponent from what they are doing with their hands.

I also really like Kushina using hair for attacks, because a lot of Capoeira is fake movement to hide an actual attack, here's a video:

You see, he's always tricking the opponent to make it seem is moving one way, when they going another, so is Kushina is using her hair, this pay very well with the rest of the style.

Brief story history here: The slave in Brasil wanted to train fighting to resist against their lords (I forgotten the actual word for it in English), but if they got caught they would be punished, so they make it appear like a dance

The instruments? Battle codes.

And the whole thing about the Uzumakis is that we don't really know anything about them, right?

So hear me out: What if, for the most part of history (at least prior to Konoha) people don't fuckin know theses guys are ninjas?

They see a bunch of red head people dancing and maybe doing some chakra tricks, and they like "Oh, alright they artists or whatever" but behind their back the Uzumaki are doing missions for money just like every other clan at the time, they just so good at it people don't notice.

And it would also explain why people don't know much about them, like beside Mikoto, Nagato, Kushina, Karin and Naruto there's no Uzumaki around, and no big story about a Uzumaki village, heck we don't even actually know if the whole clan was part at Konoha at some point or not, but you know what we have? Temples! With those weird masks Orochimaru finds, in other words: Art, in fact if we're thinking about the masks we can say is a WEAPON disguised as ART, just like Capoeira!

Edit: oh and Hagoromo whole thing for chakra use was it should connect people and not be used as a weapon right?

Maybe the Uzumaki are the ones that kept part of that filosofy, so when other clans saw they use jutsu it's always non combated, but behind their back their dancing and their art, it's all weapons. They just discreet about it either because they were active in danger or because they ninjas and ninjas should hide their true nature and everyone else is just being stupid about with their fireballs and wooden jutsu
