Are you bringing back BTD???
when we made that post earlier this year, zoe and i honestly didnât think weâd get as many people responding as we did, and i didnât see this ask or other messages until i logged in just now to do my biannual check-in. lately, weâve been feeling nostalgic for btd and all of our friends! however, the hard part about bringing this back is the upkeep and promoting because, if we did bring it back, weâd probably open apps to the outside since there arenât that many of us still around, and itâs always nice to have more than just a few people.Â
that being said, iâm going to talk to zoe and see what she thinks because iâve tried other rps, and they just donât compare. if we were to bring btd back, weâd also change some formatting and possibly give the plot a little bit of a fresh coat of paint.Â
so, stay tuned. iâm not saying itâs a sure thing, but iâm also not saying that itâs out of the question!

Yo BTD, weâre gonna have an activity check coming up sometime soon, so if you havenât been active recently, it might be a good time to be around!
This is DEBORAH âDEBBIEâ RODRIGUEZ. She is SIXTEEN and will enroll into Disland Prep as a JUNIOR. Usually, she would live with her parents, FLO and RAMONE in RADIATOR SPRINGS. Earthlings commonly mistake her for ALLY BROOKE.
âWell she wants to be the Queen, then she thinks about her scene. Pulls her hair back as she screams, âI donât really wanna be the Queen!ââ
Deborah was a heavy mixture of both of her parents, sassy and very proud of her heritage. Her life clearly represented how she was raised, and anyone could see that she came from a big, supportive family. She always laughed when she told others about how many people came to the family reunion, over 500 coming in total. However, with as many extended members there were, she only managed to stay close to her immediate family and close friends. Those few friends, although they were scattered around the world, were considered as much of a family to her as her real family was. As a child, Deborah always came off as a little too loud. When she sang, she sang louder than all of the kids in her chorus class. However, no one could deny that she was probably one of the best singers in the class. So, they decided to follow her tones and hope she didnât miss a note. Plus, not to toot her own horn, she knew that people depended on her to lead the group. Her singing voice took her far, from little diner joints in Radiator Springs to low-key jazz restaurants in Monstropolis. It was all surreal to Deborah and, to someone who wanted to make it big in the industry, she was a pretty lucky girl. Yet, with school, friends, and life getting in the way, Deborah felt like the world was closing in on her. Instead of words of encouragement, her fatherâs musings turned into harsh tones and nagging. Her love for her mother was isolated, and all of her attention was put onto every flaw she could imagine. It took a small intervention from her family to pull her back into place, making her smile reappear and the sounds of her mockingbird voice resurrect from the dead. With the strong bond her family had, Deborah couldnât fall. They were at every show her schoolâs drama club put on, recorded every solo she received in chorus, and cheered obnoxiously when she finished belting a song in the shower. It made her happy, knowing that her family was so close, and it truly showed when she walked into school and made a friend each day with her sarcasm and witty remarks.
"Well, what is it like being here?â
âAhah. Hahaha. Hahahahaha. What? This is a school? Beds? Boys? What? Iâm going to die. I have died. I have gone to heaven. I am a very happy camper, sir. Leave me be for a second, but leave the door open so I donât drown in my river of tears because this is the best day ever!â
Debbie has been known to beâŠ
friend·ly adjective \Ëfren(d)-lÄ\
Even though Deborah considered herself introverted and a âHBICâ, she honestly couldnât deny that she could make friends easily. When most kids in school floundered at the idea of being paired with a stranger during school projects, Deborah made a slight joke to her partner and they became good friends in a matter of days. Her parents always wondered how she came home every day with a new friend, and they soon gave up on trying to keep track.
tal·ent·ed adjective \Ëta-lÉntd\
There were many talents up Deborahâs sleeve. Since she was a little girl, Deborah always wanted to be on a stage. She even had this big dream of singing in front of the giant Christmas tree in Monstropolis. Whenever she saw the tree looming over the city, she imagined herself singing in front of it with a crowd of people screaming her name. Her acting skills were always clearly shown once drama season came around. Whenever she got the lead, she cried with happiness. However, by the time middle school came around, it wasnât much of a surprise anymore.
spicy adjective \ËspÄ«-sÄ\
Deb could be sarcastic when she wanted to be, and her wit attracted a lot of people. However, when you crossed a line between her family and friends, she wasnât very lenient toward such actions. She could take you and smash you against the wall, metaphorically and literally. However, she never let that side show so easily. She started with warnings, little rumors and sharp tongued statements toward you. However, by the time she was done with your bullshit, you knew you were a roasted turkey.

This is JOSEPH âCHUCOâ RODRIGUEZ. He is EIGHTEEN and will enroll into Disland University as a FRESHMAN. Usually, he would live with his parents, FLO and RAMONE in RADIATOR SPRINGS. Earthlings commonly mistake him for CARLOS PENA (PENAVEGA).
âWhat if I kept the hand-me-downs you wonât grow into? And what if I really thought some miracle would see us through?â
Radiator Springs had always been a friendly land, so small that everyone knew one anotherâs names, and the warm, loving feeling that radiated through it was always beneficial to the growth and development of Joseph Rodriguez. With a rough beginning like his, Joe deserved to find some peace in his teenage years. His troubles started appearing at a young age. Since Joe was the first child of Ramone and Flo, his grandmother had trouble believing that he was really the son of Ramone and she always hinted toward the idea of Flo using Ramone for money towards a child that wasnât even his. Once Joe was born, she gifted him with the nickname pachuco, meaning orphan in spanish, and he began to respond to that word as his name. Flo and Ramone were outraged and forced the woman out of their life, and Joseph soon went by the name Chuco. Chuco lived his first few years happily, learning to walk faster than his little sister did, treating the girl like a trophy on a shelf, and making his parents smile more than they ever had before. However, when Floâs business burst into flames due to a rampant cigarette ruining the whole building, the only emotion the parents were able to show was worry. Chuco was only five, too young to leave on his own in fear of the smoke grasping his already damaged lungs, Lightning McQueenâs bravery was the only thing that could save the boy. Since the incident, Chucoâs parents made sure to keep a close eye toward their son, his asthma attacks appearing more frequently than before the incident. Once again, a kind of Pax Romana reigned over the Rodriguez family. However, one final blow was struck at Chuco. As the boy grew closer to his mother, learning the ropes of her business in hopes of co-running the very place he grew up in, something darker was running through Chucoâs veins --- and that was leukemia. In an instant, though it felt like a millennium, the Rodriguez family dropped everything they had in their schedule to take care of him. It was a painful few months of watching Chuco suffer through chemo, the veins in his eyes popping from throwing up so hard, but the family stayed there for him from the beginning to the day he entered remission. He may have been hit with his third strike, but he certainly wasnât out.
"Well, what is it like being here?â
âWhat the fuck? Fuck this. Iâm kidding, this is cool. As long as I get to work at Maâs shop once I get back home.â
Chuco has been known to beâŠ
en·ter·tain·ing adjective \ËentÉrËtÄniNG\
When one was graced with Chucoâs presence, they were sure in for a day of laughter. He was always happy, no matter what the circumstance was, and thatâs what people found so entertaining about him. He could be on the verge of dying, his heartbeat about to settle, and heâd end his life with a horribly cheesy batman quote to make everyone else laugh through their tears.
ar·tis·tic adjective \Ă€rËtistik\
Chuco would never tell his mother, thinking she wouldnât agree with the lifestyle he wanted to pursue, but he had always wanted to be a tattoo artist. His artwork was strewn all over his room, hidden in notebooks and sketchbooks full of wonder. He remembered when he would draw little fairies for his sister when she was younger, and he soon progressed to masterpieces that he could only dream of imprinting onto someoneâs skin.
strong adjective \strĂŽNG\
No matter what barrier awaited in Chucoâs life, he would greet it with open arms. He wasnât the Y.O.L.O kind of teenager, but he was strong enough to smash through every obstacle head on. If he didnât, it was possible that he was probably dead.

This is THEKLA MEGALOS. She is TWENTY-ONE and will enroll into Disland University as a JUNIOR. Usually, she would live with her mother, CALLIOPE in OLYMPUS. Earthlings commonly mistake her for KATERINA GRAHAM.
âSheâs just a girl and sheâs on fire, hotter than a fantasy, lonely like a highway. Sheâs living in a world and itâs on fire, filled with catastrophe.â
Out of the five muses, Calliope was known as the muse of epic poetry, and Thekla could not be any more grateful. In Olympus, you could easily point everyone out for their overflowing confidence, but it was also easy to trigger any jealousy that stewed within them. To sum the gods and goddesses up, they were all ticking time bombs, but you didnât hear that from me. On the contrary, never did any type of anger boil within Thekla Megalos. She did not harvest any ill feelings towards Disneylanders, nor did she hold any resentment toward the gods. Thekla was a believer of balance, and an ultimate balance of respect and disrespect was painfully showcased in the world she lived in. So, to keep herself from becoming one of the damaged goods that roamed Disney, she took a few lessons from the gods she passed by everyday. Calliope would recite stories of great heroines to Thekla, and it was almost as if she absorbed the self-confidence she needed to grab life by the horns from those characters that were introduced into her life. She used the little bit of energy she got from her motherâs stories to keep her chin held high while she walked down the streets. She observed the way other godly figures walked and talked and soon found something that halted any further âimprovementsâ she planned on making. Thekla learned that everything the gods talked about was nonsense. When she imagined preaching about the lack of respect women get, the way people should focus more on their similarities than their differences, how life could not be lived without something that makes you fall down, she laughed. She laughed at the idea of holding her head high, only to rapidly run her mouth about Demeterâs scandal with someone. All she could do was laugh. When she opened the doors and her chin was high in the air, Thekla knew it was for her own thoughts. Not anyone else. It was for herself.
âWell, what is it like being here?â
ââŠthis isnât much of a setting, especially not an epic one.â
Thekla has been known to beâŠ
thought·ful adjective \ËthoÌt-fÉl\
Thekla always had an abundance of thoughts swarming through her brain, but she always had the time to analyze them, try to find an answer, and try to form her own opinion if there wasnât one. If someone asked her what she thought about something, she could go on for days. However, it was never unwelcome as her thoughts were always substantial.
in·spi·ra·tion·al adjective \Ëin(t)-spÉ-ËrÄ-shÉn- Él, -(Ë)spi-\
With her mother being the muse of Epic Poetry, Thekla inherited her motherâs ability to captivate people with her voice and the stories she told. She could make an epic poem up on the spot, inspiring young and old to get out of their seats and enjoy life, overcome their fears, or even leave the ones who hurt them. Whatever she was was inspiring someone to do, she did it extremely well.
cre·a·tive adjective \krÄ-ËÄ-tiv, ËkrÄ-Ë\
Thekla always had a trick up her sleeve, an idea blooming into a beautiful flower. She could turn an English project into a symphony of words, and she could turn twinkle twinkle little star into Beethovenâs Sonata. The artistic kids were almost jealous of how Thekla could easily think and make such great ideas, but she was always there to help when they needed her as well.

This is MAYA MAKO. She is NINETEEN and will enroll into Disland University as a SOPHOMORE. Usually, she would live with her father, CHUM in ATLANTICA. Earthlings commonly mistake her for SHAY MITCHELL.
âLaying low, seeking poor quarters where the ragged people go, looking for places only they would go.â
Most little sisters grow up under the protective wing of their older brother. Theyâre shielded from the world and its evils and its wrongs. But not Maya Mako. Her brother was only older than her by a year, but by the time the two of them could hold conversations, Merrick had grown world-weary and he spared his sister no details when it came to telling her why. Maya grew up knowing exactly what was wrong in the world, and her brother was the reasonâyet she never begrudged him for it. Most of the grown ups in her life either treated her like a nuisance, for being female, or a liability, because she had a temper. But Merrick always made it clear that there was nothing wrong with being who she was, just because it defied or played into othersâ expectations. So Maya perfected her punch with both fists and her faux-girlish giggle, which she used to lure people into a sense of complacency around her so she could use the former. Her brother was always too good, too pure at heart, to become a vigilante, but Maya was never as good a person as he was. She was not a saint; she was better than most people, but she wasnât so good that she had a problem with righting the worldâs wrongs by force. Mayaâs brother was the bleeding heart, and she was the body he pumped blood into. She taught bullies and bigots lessons they would never forget, and her name became a sensation among the ranks of the other underdogs her brother felt so strongly for. She was every urban legend and every Cinderella story wrapped up into one pretty package. Her reputation followed her after she was turned human, only now she was able to spread her actions to bigger and badder playing fields. To earn her smile was salvation, to earn her scowl was damnationâof course, it was all in their heads, but Maya never saw a point in putting out her own flames.
âWell, what is it like being here?â
âItâs too early to say, really. The world is rotten, but weâre not on the world, now, are we? Weâre in uncharted territory. So Iâll have to wait and see.â
Maya has been known to beâŠ
re·sil·ient / rÉËzilyÉnt/
Maya goes weeks without sleeping the whole night through, because she has much more important activities to see to; she tries her hardest to never let it stop her. Merrick has had to pull her out of her morning bowl of cereal more times than she can count, and sheâs fallen asleep in the shower probably more often than most others would care to admit, but sheâs never once let herself think seriously about stopping. What sheâs doing is important, to her and to her brother, and to the people she helps. Itâs bigger than she is, so she has to be big enough to shoulder it.
un·com·pli·cat·ed  adjective /ËÉnËkĂ€mplÉËkÄdÉd/
Though Maya would never turn her nose up at girls who like the finer things in life, she herself has never seen the need for them. Sure, she appreciates pretty jewelry, and sheâll indulge in a nice dress for special occasions, but she likes to be able to drop everything and fall into super-Maya mode at a momentsâ notice; itâd be a little hard if her ears were dripping in stones and her legs were tangled up in tulle. Sometimes sheâll window shop, pretending sheâs the sort of girl who has time for normal things, but at the end of the day she wouldnât exchange the life she has for anything. Â
strik·ing  adjective /ËstrÄ«kiNG/
As soon as she walks into a room, Maya makes heads turn. Even people who have never heard her name, or even those who donât know to put her face to all the stories theyâve heard, find her presence magnetic. She carries herself with a confidence and a surety that turns her into someone people canât take their eyes off of. Perhaps standing out isnât the best thing for someone who exists in shadows, who lives for lying in wait, but Maya canât help but love the attention that sheâs never even had to work for.
Like MAYA MAKO? Good, because sheâs OPEN!
This is MERRICK MAKO. He is TWENTY and will enroll into Disland University as a JUNIOR. Usually, he would live with his father, CHUM in ATLANTICA. Earthlings commonly mistake him for BOB MORLEY.
âAnd back when we were kids, we swore we knew the future and our words would take us half way âround the world.â
Humans and monsters and fairies alike refer to waters where a shark has been seen as âshark-infested.â Merrick has known this his whole life, has heard it from surfers and fishermen, whispered to their companions under their breath. When he was younger, it hurt him like a punch to a fresh bruise each time it was said; as he grew older, though his skin grew tougher, and he learned to accept othersâ misconceptions. His home was not shark-infested, it was human-infested; the water is where sharks lived, and he was not infesting anything by simply being alive. He would never change peopleâs minds, not when they were convinced they were correct, but he would never prove them right. Â His father, and many other sharks, had turned into something to be feared as a side affect of being already seen as one their whole lives, but Merrick took a different approach. He took his sadness and his hurt and turned soft under his hard appearance, turned into someone he wanted his whole species to be proud of. He kept to himself and his sister and avoided going to the surface when he could, and when magic turned him and his loved ones human, he averted his eyes in front of his reflection. He didnât want legs, and lungs. Now the very people who used to yell and run away at the sight of his fin want to talk to himânow that he looks like them. Nothing about Merrickâs insides have changed. His heart is still pure and righteous, his words are still polite, if withdrawn, and his convictions are still as solid as mountain. As payback for a childhood filled with prejudice based on first impressions, Merrick will give each new person he meets only a first glanceânothing more. Not until they earn it in full.
âWell, what is it like being here?â
âI would rather not be here, so I guess Iâm biased. If I didnât have to stay, and stay around these people, I would like it. But I wonât stop wanting to leave the first chance I get.â
Merrick has been known to beâŠ
mor·al adjective /ËmĂŽrÉl/
Some might throw their heads back with laughter at the thought of a moral shark, but those people had never met Merrick. He was never excluded from playground games when he was younger, despite his slightly different attitude, because everyone could count on him to be fair and impartial. Merrick has a very clear sense of right and wrong, and while he doesnât strike up debates with those with differing views, he refuses to continue association with people who rub him the wrong way.
qui·et  adjective /ËkwÄ«Ét/
Merrick has a lot of opinions, ideas, and philosophies, but he seldom feels the need to shout them out into the world. He knows that few people would listen, and so he decided when he was young that he would only share his thoughts with those he knew would listen. Heâs decent at small talk and heâs mastered the art of sidestepping politics and personal problems in conversation; he doesnât get very ârealâ with most people, but he also doesnât see the need to be rude.
pre·car·i·ous  adjective /prÉËkerÄÉs/
Merrick bottles so much inside of himself. He likes to keep his face a blank slate, but so much goes on behind the scenes that is a wonder, some days, that heâs even able to. He feels so passionately about the plights of underdogs and victimsâthose he sees with his own eyes and those he only sees on the newsâthat even if he didnât have struggles going on inside himself, heâd be a mental whirlwind. Merrick finds it just as hard to share his feelings and unburden his problems as he does even opening himself up to friends; each day is a tightrope walk.

This is ESPERANZA FEE. She is TWENTY-THREE and will enroll in Disland University as a SENIOR. Usually, she would live with her adoptive parents, FLORA, FAUNA, & MERRYWEATHER in APALUSIA. Earthlings commonly mistake her for GINA RODRIGUEZ.
âWhen the dog bites, when the bee stings, when Iâm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, and then I donât feel so bad. â
Some people hate the phrase, âeverything happens for a reason.â Esperanza Fee is not one of those people. In fact, itâs been a guiding principle throughout her life. You see, the known beginnings of the fairy in training are whittled down to a baby left on the steps of Queen Aurora and King Phillipâs castle. Unfortunately, there was no way to decipher who had abandoned such an adorable little thing due to the fact that her only identifier was the name âEsperanzaâ haphazardly embroidered on the blanket that was loosely wrapped around her. She quickly found a home with the three fairies who had once upon a time, taken care of the Queen as their own. In fact, it was Merryweather who initially came up with the idea to rear Esperanza, although she vehemently denies it to this day as an attempt to keep up her âtoughâ front, in reality, she loves the girl almost as much as, if not more than, she loves Aurora. The orphan managed to wiggle her way into everyoneâs hearts, endearing them with her generous heart and willingness to attack any task with zeal and unmatched enthusiasm. Her interests tunneled towards the magic that her âauntiesâ would perform every day. It was fascinating, colorful, everything Esperanza could ever hope that life would be. Sadly, the magnificent powers that she admired so much could never be hers, it just wasnât in her blood. Rather than letting that fact destroy her, Esperanza figured that there had to be a reason why she ended up with her three magical guardians. So, she took it upon herself to become a âmagic-lessâ fairy godmother for anyone who might be in need. After first practicing with the little kids she visited in the village when shopping for errands, Esperanza soon upgraded to actual clients, people who paid her to aid them in their times of need. Always with a heart, she never allowed payment to be more than they could give, meaning she never received actual money, rather they would gift her with food or whatever they had to offer. In the end, she was elated with even a smile, because their soulâs happiness was all that Esperanza truly cared about.
âWell, what is it like being here?â
âOf course, Iâm sad to leave home, who isnât? But I strongly believe that my skillset will be put to good use here!â
Esperanza has been known to beâŠ
stub·born adjective \ËstÉbÉrn\
Itâs incredibly difficult for Esperanza to imagine anything as impossible, as she always believes that, no matter what, she can find a way. This can cause some struggle at times as her hardheadedness can cause Esperanza to beat a dead horse when she should simply leave it be.
ma·ture adjective \ËmÉËCHoÍor\
While she may not have been the oldest person in the fairiesâ cottage, if someone had only heard her words without knowing her age, they would think that Esperanza was over a thousand years old, far more aged than her guardians. 13 going on 30 wasnât even close. The future âfairyâ godmother was always more like 13 going on 60.
play·ful adjective \plÄfÉl\
As Mary Poppins once stated, âIn every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.â As hard-working as she is, Esperanza enjoys finding the light-hearted side of tasks and can always be seen with a smile, especially when a storm is getting rough.
