since there are a few of us here now, and since some people brought it up, i figured a gift exchange would be a fun idea. please read all of the rules and guidelines and familiarise yourself with the schedule before signing up!

RULES

sounds obvious, but DON’T SIGN UP IF YOU KNOW YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO COMPLETE YOUR PARTNER’S PROMPT IN THE TIME GIVEN. we don’t want to have to put the pinch hitters in at all, but we’re going to have to if y’all do this sorta stuff.

don’t tell the person you are completing the prompt for that you are completing their prompt, please! this is supposed to be like a secret santa.

dumb jokes are fine, but no creating or receiving heavy nsfw content. mod is a minor and so are lots of people taking part in this exchange.

you don’t need a tumblr or a discord to join this, but you need a way for us to contact you.

GUIDELINES

in case you weren’t aware, this will work similarly to a secret santa. you will put in a request for whatever you want, and you will receive a different request back. you will have to complete the request you received, whether it be with art, fic, or something else (without telling the person the request is from that you received it!) and post it during the gift posting period. i hope this makes sense, but if it doesn’t, feel free to shoot me an ask about it.

all fic must be at least 1500 words of content.

all digital art must be fully coloured and rendered. all traditional art must be fully coloured and/or scanned/edited to the best of its potential.

all edits/animatics/etc must use high quality footage and have at least 30 seconds of non-repeating content. animatics must be shaded and completed up to a certain milestone in the used song (for example, up to the first chorus of a song).

your second prompt will only be used as a last resort. it’s likely that it won’t have to be used at all, so don’t sweat having a great first prompt and a not-so-wonderful second prompt.

honestly, other than animal farm and 1984, i haven’t actually read any other works by orwell. in normal circumstances i’d be like “hey i’ll just read them and get back to you!” but i don’t really like orwell in general as a person, and his super political books are boring to me (yes, i’m not a nerd. shocker), and 1984 and animal farm were, for the most part, exceptions.

in short: i’ll open this blog for animal farm rqs if you really want me to, but it’ll still be bad-1984-aus since 1984 is the primary focus of the blog. hope that’s okay.
