Bad Narration

This is the only time (except when McGonagall is being nice to Harry after the death of Dumbledore) she says Harry's first name. Why start and end now?

Erm...she means gold guard, right?

First, why was Tom in the girls' lavatory at all? Sure it's the chamber of secrets but why even go look in a girls' lavatory in the first place? Did he decide to check every room until he found it? Does he have a radar? Second, what was the chamber even doing in the girls' lavatory? Did Slytherin decide to put a lavatory on top of the entrance thinking he was so clever?

Unless Harry is sitting at the front of the table (which we know he is not from a few pages before) he cannot see this. He is described wearing glasses for a reason. Harry is blind.

What memory? Harry’s only ever been to his! Or are the hat’s songs topics of discussion during the school year? “Remember the Sorting Hat's song this year?” “Oh yeah, mate, it was brilliant! Bloody good this year but not as good as ours.”
