RIP Paul 'Jesus' Rovia

So annoyed, sad and frustrated about the death of Jesus. 

For such a cool character, he was under used and gone too soon.

We all loved him as soon as he arrived. He brought a lot of fans together. The top knot ninja never got to reach his epic coolness of the comics. The show never deserved him or the efforts of Tom Payne.

I'm glad to read he was at least happy with exit, but also happy to read Payne's honest opinion on how his character was written.

So here is the end of our on screen Desus journey. He will no doubt live on in all the fan art and fanfiction. Hugs to all the Jesus fans, whichever fandom you included him in.  edit:  I haven’t even watched the episode and frankly, I don’t want to. Paul Rovia is the community’s to work with now and I know you will all do him justice. Jesus may be in the comics, but that was Paul Monroe and the show NEVER matched his awesomeness. 

edit edit: I my frustration I mixed the surnames up. It was very early when I found out. :D

Farewell.

Hello everyone who actually still has this blog on their radar. I've popped by to say farewell. Obviously I haven't been on here for a long time, due to my workload increasing heavily & my roles changing dramatically over the past year. It's been great but unfortunately some things have to be put aside and this fandom is one of them.

Ive had a good time over the past few years mixing with you all, especially those who I met right at the very beginning when we created the desus or darus or Jeryl (lol) name after the Jesus introduction episode. Ive enjoyed all your fan art and fan fiction, there are so many talented people who developed their craft within the community and I wish you all the best if any of you wish to take your craft into a profession. You can have a creative career if you work hard at it! 

I recently finally watched the second half of season 8 and I have to say I was left bored. I felt like this in season 7 too. But it was this online community that kept it fun on the sidelines and distracted me a lot! 

Im glad I got to attend a Walker Stalker and see there are still so many fans for the show. 

I may return casually in the future to read your fan fics and peek at your artwork, but for now I will not be contributing any further to the desus ship until further notice. But I wont be closing the blog just in case.

Anyway, thanks for all your kind words about my scribbles. I'll still have my own personal tumblr up. Im also on twitter and instagram as some of you know, under adelekthomas.

Well done to all those who kept the ship a float.

I’m posting this because Australian fans need to know because announcements haven't been properly made. Norman Reedus has sadly cancelled for Walker Stalker Australia. Announced as Australia slept. And not even officially by the Walker Stalker Convention but as a response to Reedus' twitter post. I feel sorry for all the fans who paid thousands of dollars to travel to meet their favourite actor. Those who saved for months, the people who are running booths and co-sponsors. Australia is MASSIVE and expensive. You can't understand until you have been here. This was a HUGE event for a lot of Walking Dead Daryl fans, we only have a couple of conventions that happen in our country through the year. Plus it was our first Walker Stalker. People are still buying tickets and photo ops this morning, because no official announcement has been made in OUR timezone or on Facebook or Instagram. Images still have Norman on them. He was headlined from the beginning to sell tickets. Not Norman's fault, he feels bad and also surprised that WSC hasn't responded properly. Also...we don't get RIDE in Australia. I hope Tom doesn't pull out. 

  PS: Please don’t come at me with how it’s his job etc etc, I work in film and TV and completely understand and this is NOT what my post is about. It is about communicating to Australians the latest news that they missed as they slept and now buried under other posts and announcements for other conventions.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say that Im still around and still love the Desus ship, Ive just been quite busy. I have been very busy drawing unicorns for a book series and directing a film. The film is finally finished but my book deadlines are still there!  In February I’m going to Australia’s first Walker Stalker convention and I bought a ticket for a photo with Norman Reedus. I’m trying to get fit again so I can do a costume for the convention that I think would also be cool for the photo, it’s a character (not Walking Dead related) but a zombie version of a cosplay I have done before.  I’m also going to line up to meet Tom Payne, get him to sign one of my prints. I got one of my desus artworks (the one in my profile pic) on a shirt, which ill wear proudly on one of the days.  I’m wondering if they will show anything for season B at the con because it is close to the show returning. Anyway, ive just semi caught up on all the latest desus stuff that I can and it’s all so cool! You all rock!

I watched the promo for season 8 B...

Daryl and the gang are heading to Hilltop and that is gonna keep my Desus shipper heart going until next year, EVEN if they didn’t speak to each other this season. Distance makes the heart grow fonder??? lol Also in February we have our first Walker Stalker event in Australia EVER. I’m so excited.
