That Hopeless Sunday Feeling

Sundays suck.

I’m pretty sure everyone can relate to that late-night Sunday depressing feeling, but tonight it’s kind of bad for me. 

Sometimes I truly feel like I’m never going to meet that special person. I met someone online (actually two people technically) that are of great interest to me, but won’t meet up, and not only that, I’m not even sure they care about me.

I just need that one girl that’ll take the step to meeting me. I’m patient for sure, but if I don’t know how someone feels about me, I don’t know how I’m supposed to wait for them to come around. 

I know what I’m looking for in a person, and sometimes I meet someone who falls outside of that range or who is deeply flawed but I want them anyway (which is the case for person #2), but it never ends up falling in place.

I think I’m scared because my generation is reckless when it comes to relationships and dating. Sure, it makes it a hell of fun when you’re in the mindset that you just wanna have fun. But when you actually want to take things seriously, suddenly it seems like an ugly world. What if no one will ever want to settle down?

Worse yet, what if the only people who would settle down are completely wrong for me? I won’t settle for just anyone.

Is our generation on the right track, or the wrong one?
