"They said seven minutes when they texted," He paused to check his watch, a formality. It was subtle, but he knew his clan member’s subtle scents any where, "they should be here in about three."

He smiled disarmingly at her, “I’m sorry I’m holding you up Miss, I appreciate your company.”

Vanitas was starting to get a better picture of how this young woman had become a vampire, but he wouldn’t know until he got it out of her.

"He’s a lucky guy, who ever it is you’re rushing home to. If I had a lady like you at home," he sighed wistfully, "well, I wouldn’t have missed a rare opportunity to meet a kind woman like you."

He silently prayed she would take the time, really any time, to ellaborate or even deny his comment. He just had to stall for another minute and a half and the job would be done. There were no second chances once the target had seen your face and if she could recognize his smell anyone he came in contact with could be compromised.

Aqua felt saddened by his comment. A lucky guy? No. He had left her a long time ago. He left her with a lonely life and cursed her to live in that home alone.”Um… no I’m not rushing home to anyone… I actually live alone. I just haven’t been outside in such a long time. It’s making me um a little uneasy.” Aqua said taking a step back. She wanted to jump over the wooden fence behind her and run away, but she couldn’t. She would alarm this guy and who knows who would be after her.

Vanitas raised an eye brow, he could tell that she was ready to bolt, it was written all over her face, but he couldn’t help his curiosity. It made no sense, how could she have stayed isolated for that long? Had she been helped? Did she have something to eat? He had a feeling she hadn’t and if that was the case, she should have been too famished to even reason properly at this point. He looked her over again, she had amazing will power and he had to admit he was solidly impressed.

Before he had time to add anything else though, he noticed Isa a short distance behind the young woman. He made eye contact with the stoic man, silently praising the other man's quiet competence as the other slowly worked his way towards them. At the same time he sensed almost as much as he smelled Lea approaching to his right.

“Vanitas,” The tall, red head greeted warmly, “I’ve been looking all over for ya. And who is this cutie?”

Vanitas smiled, internally hoping that Lea’s straight forward tactics didn’t push the young woman into full flight mode, “I actually didn’t get her name.”

“I’m Vanitas, by the way,” He smiled disarmingly before playfully punching Lea for emphasis, “and this knucklehead is Lea.”

He was definitely stalling at this point, but all he could do was hope that Isa would be in place to cut off her retreat. She was inexperienced, but she was obviously not stupid. The night air reeked of vampires and if she hadn’t caught on that they were vampires before, she was almost guaranteed to catch on now.

((I had to stew on this for a while. I can't tell Aqua what to do so I really had to be careful what I did, not to mention I really want to see how she reacts! I'm so excited!!))

Crap, he didn’t think she had confirmed his scent, but she was still on edge. He just needed to stall her for a few minutes, anything would do as long as he could get her talking.

"Aw, geez," He smiled trying his best to look apologetic, "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just waiting for my friends and thought it’d be nice to talk to someone in the mean time. I didn’t mean anything by it, honest. We don’t have to go any where, we’ll just wait right here."

He prayed that would work, it would be a pain to track her down again and it would only get worse if he had to separate her from a crowd this dense on his own. For once he was more than grateful that his superiors had sent back up, even if they were still amateurs.

Aqua stopped and frowned. She hadn’t had any company in quite some time. Being locked away in a mansion wasn’t very fun and very lonely. He did smelled strange, but she chalked it up to probably some new cologne.

Vanitas sighed, unloading his last bag from the cab. He had wanted to be there earlier, he had left with enough time to be early, but the driver had gotten lost on the way. He wasn’t even sure how that was possible. Enix University eclipsed every building in the vicinity. He was from out of town and he know where it was. He tipped her anyway, even he wasn’t mad enough not to with how many times she had apologized

Vanitas mentally kicked himself, there was no way that he was getting his choice of bed. It didn’t matter that much, but first dibs still would have been nice. Still, it would be easy to ignore if he had a good roommate, preferable one how did very little talking and spent very little time in the room. Yeah, that would be ideal.

It didn’t take long to find his room 420, now that was funny. Wanting to put down his bags quickly he dropped his bags on the bed that didn’t have a person on it, before sizing him up. Oddly athletic, was his first thought, maybe the guy would be at team practices constantly. Now that would be very idea.

When the moment of truth came and Noel’s roomate entered, he immediately got a strange feeling the two wouldn’t get along. As the other male seemingly stared at him, Noel quirked a brow and looked him up as well. “Take a picture.. It’ll last longer.” Noel then sighed and decided that if the two would be stuck together, that wouldn’t be a good first impression to make. “It’s uh.. been a long day. Sorry about that,” he quickly responded. “I’m Noel, Noel Kreiss. I’m assuming that you’re going to be my best buddy for the next few months,” he stated sarcastically, but not in a rude tone. It was his best attempt to lighten the mood in his own Noel sort of way.

"Easy there sport," He said grinning, "Let's at least sign the roommate agreement and establish some motive before you put the sharpened pencil in my ear." Did We Just Become Best Friends?! (College AU: BadBloodBoy)

It was a sunny day in the city of Academia. Noel took in the breeze and and listened to the bustling people around him. It was a bittersweet day for him. Today marked the end of his summer break and the beginning of a new journey. Before him, Enix University towered majestically, casting its shadow over much of the busy city square. After he mentally prepared himself, Noel adjusted his bag over his shoulder, and picked up a couple more suitcases.

As he headed to the dorm, the first thing he thought of was when his girlfriend, Yeul, would arrive. The two had been together since high school, and were inseparable most of the time. Though many people wouldn’t think it at first glance, he and Yeul made a perfect couple. Glancing down to his watch, Noel frowned a little. It would be a few hours before Yeul would arrive, but he just told himself that would give him time to unpack and settle in just in time to help her do the same.

Making his way up to the dorms, Noel finally found his own after searching for what seemed like an eternity. Enix University was no joke, making good use of all of the technology that Academia had to offer. When he finally found his room, he opened the door and tossed his bags on the nearest bed. “Early hunter gets the bed it seems.” He smirked, claiming the one he preferred. “Now to play the waiting game.” He muttered, wondering what his room mate would be like.

It was her first time out in a while. She was told to stay in the house no matter what, but she ran out of blood and she was hungry. Aqua was looking for something fresh, though she didn’t want to hurt people. Kind of a dilemma for a vampire. Every person she passed reeked of alcohol.

Disgusting.

She looked around and for someone who didn’t smell like gin and tonic. Until she spotted a girl waiting outside a club. She quickly made her way over to the female to begin sweet talking her into an alley. While talking to the brunette, Aqua felt like she was being watched. The hairs on her neck stood up. She turned around and didn’t see anyone immediately. She felt danger. Then she thought about what her master had told her before his leave.

'There will be people after you… You have to stay hidden.' Aqua waved the girl away and began walking again although hunger was setting in.
