Just as you were getting accustomed to your routine you now had to be placed under another team due to one of the case managers leaving for maternity leave. Michael; the runner, did you the favor of helping you move your stuff to your new desk that was now closer to the lawyers and their paralegals. As Michael sets down your things you heard banter from the lawyers making jokes and laughing. You sat down chucking to yourself at the remarks as they made fun of each other in spanish. "Cabron tu ni chichas" one of them said laughing and you looked up from your desk to see the receiver of such a joke and immediately were surprised. Across from you sat a cute guy with curly hair and perfectly trimmed goatee with rimless glasses laughing as his friends tried to "roast him". Well he's obviously cute...handsome even, the bashfulness in his demeanor showed a soft side to him that seems endearing. You push your lingering feelings away and get to work trying not to look at at your really cute neighbor.

It was already 2 PM and you finally decided to take a late lunch, heading to the kitchen to heat up your food. As you walked in to the break room, the only person there reading a book and annotating was none other than that cute guy from earlier. You held your breath feeling yourself get slightly nervous and giddy in his presence. "Hii" you said shyly as you put your food in the microwave. He puts his book down and shoots a warm smile. "Hola, mucho gusto" he says genuinely as he crosses his arms. "Tu eres como media penosa verdad? he says teasingly you causing you to blush. "Yeah i guess i am" you replied laughing shrugging off the obvious question feeling your cheeks heat up. He makes small talk asking about where your from and bring up a question that throws you off. "Im sorry?" you asked in regards to what he says. "Si has conocido los abogado de mierda que son dueños aqui?" he repeats himself leaving you baffled. You were take aback by his bluntness, who does he think he is to talk shit about our bosses. "No...pero porque hablas de ellos asi?" you retort feeling uncomfortable with the conversation. He leaned back in the chair shrugging. "por que lo se, son unos huelebichos" he says nonchalantly as you raised your brows in shock. "The Martinez brothers are incredible lawyers, i don't know what you're talking about but from the cases i've read, they're geniuses" you said quickly almost feeling embarrassed to pathetically admit how much you admired them. "Aaaahh siiiii??" He teases in a baby voice immediately annoying you. He's a fucking dick, why would you ever even think he was cute. You rolled your eyes. "Jealous much? You retort as he laughs. "Si quizas estoy celoso porque le lambas el bicho de tanto que lo defiendes" he says smirking leaving you shocked. "You're a fucking dick" You said without thinking but didn't regret it, he is a dick and deserved to be called one, who does he think he is? You turned your back to him waiting for your food to finish heating, everything about him to this point is now thrown out the window. Just as you're replaying what just happened in your head you feel him standing up and walking behind you. "Welcome to the office" He says in his cute accent but you shrug it off quickly rolling your eyes at his sly welcome. Before you can reply he hands you his card. 'Benito Martinez, Principal attorney'. You gulped reading the card, he's the fucking owner along with his brother, at first you felt relief but quickly cursed to yourself realizing you called your boss a dick to his face. "Oh my god, Beni- i mean Mr. martinez, i'm so so so sorry, i didn't know" You exclaimed nervously as he laughs shaking his head. "no te preocupes yo te estaba jodiendo" he says smiling. Fuck he's cute...really cute. sexy even. the beeping from the microwave goes off causing you to jump slightly. "Pero me lo vas a pagar" Benito says with a wink before walking away as you'd stared lingered discreetly up and down his physique.

A few months in the office and you have already established a banter between you and benito. In between breaks he'd ask you questions about cases but was never too serious. You never saw him raise his voice or be demanding. Everyone fucking loved him. His natural witty charisma even during difficult cases for the office made everyone feel like they were a part of something, like the work we put in actually mattered and made a difference. We felt like moths to a flame, he made everyone feel good. He made me feel really good. The more I spent with him the more I felt myself liking him more and more. He's irresistibly sexy, every day was a nice dress shirt and slacks. the cut off on his mid forearm showing his tattoos. You were staring absentmindedly at your laptop not hearing the words being said. "Vienes a la fiesta? Benito repeats himself trying to get your attention snapping you out of your thoughts. "S-si claro!" you said clearing your throat and he smiles. The Martinez brothers threw a huge party every year for their birthdays and it was infamous for how rowdy they would get. The thought of seeing benito outside of work in his element made me eager and nervous since he was of course my boss.
