hello!! as many of you might know, following the murder of the leader of one of the most powerful cartels in mexico, a lot of people are stuck at home due to threats from the cartel (as not only have they established a curfew and warned that even innocent civillians would be targets if seen outside past the established time, but also because there have been multiple shootouts and cases of burning up places and businesses), which means that right now there are so many people unable to work to sustain themselves.

so, I saw on twitter a thread with many mexican artists with open commissions, if you maybe were thinking of commissioning art and wanted to support mexicans in this situation; here’s the link to it!! (the post isn’t mine, but i thought maybe it’d be a good idea to share it here)

jesus christ, yall please fr keep mexico in your thoughts, a big narco leader got killed by our gov and now things are going up in flames in some places, cities and states are getting closed down by cartels, iirc at least one airport has been closed so far on puerto vallarta, a Big tourist city, and even the fucking oxxo near our house closed early

the center of the state i'm living in rn and the borders of it are chaos, and my bro's school cancelled classes for the next week
