“Hakuren is picking on me.”
“Is he not always? What is it about this time?”
“I’m not quite sure I want to know.”
“Clearly I have missed something.”
conquistaador:
┃ ┄ ┅ FEELING VERY SMALL, wishing he was an innocent bug crawling on the side of the wall, Kouen inches closer, trembling harder and harder as his doom awaited him. Hakuyuu gazed at him so intently, and for a minute he was stupid enough to feel comfortable in approaching the desk, but quickly realizes that he was never safe, not when he’d messed up on such a grand scale. As much as he hated to admit it, fate must hate him very much.
“Ah, m-m-my Lord! Well, you see, I am… I am FINE. So very fine. I noticed the scenery and took a scenic route to get here, that is all. I apologize for my airheadedness.” ─ ━ ♚ │
Hakuyuu could feel something was off and he stared at Kouen with curious eyes, eyebrow raising somewhat as he was approached. Once he was close enough, The elder prince reached out, patting at Kouen’s head gently.
“Kouen,” He spoke, voice firm but gentle as always when he spoke with his younger siblings. “What is it that you want to tell me? Be calm, I will not be angry with you. Come now, speak up.” He insisted. Although he was irked, he refused to let it show, his face staying neutral and calm. He wanted to hear everything Kouen had to say.

“Maybe I should learn from you and do the same.”
“On the plus side, that strange woman from before left my room, it was a mess.”
white-lotus-advisor:
“She finally got a test of her own medicine at least! Good job brother. Though I am curious how she set you on fire if you are already dead.”
“I’ve learned to stop questioning the things she does.”
white-lotus-advisor:
“I’m not surprised at this point. She did kill us and our father. Though I am sorry you had to endure that” He pats yuu on the shoulder.
“Well, technically we were both on fire, because I hugged her and she started screaming...”
white-lotus-advisor:
“Is that angry women our mother? …This sounds all too familiar.”
“She laughed at me, Ren. Laughed at me.”
white-lotus-advisor:
He takes a closer look, “Oh you’re right. Why do you look like that….Did Hakuei try to cook again?”
“No, but an angry woman set me on fire.”
white-lotus-advisor:
“Why do I not believe you?”
“Because I look as though I walked out of a burning building?”
white-lotus-advisor:
“What did you do this time? You don’t have another girl in your room do you?”
“...No....certainly not...there is no way...”
“Admittedly, this could have gone worse.”
kingofthecrimsonblade:
“That sounds most appropriate given the situation.” Good, forget about Kouen spending four hours chasing his little brother, their country’s magi, and threatening a djinn.
“You seem to be taking it rather well, Kouen. I’m proud of you for keeping your calm.”
kingofthecrimsonblade:
“Blame Sinbad and his djinn. And Judal.” He sighed softly, realizing he was just using them as scapegoats. “They shaved my chin without asking, Hakuyuu-sama.”
“Well, that’s hardly appropriate. I’ll be sure to have a talk with His Majesty Sinbad about the disrespectful conduct of his Djinn, first and foremost.”
kingofthecrimsonblade:
“I’ve had to shirk my duties all day after a man hunt for a goatee-thief. He’ll be fine once he figures out how to get back to shore.”
“That was going to be my next question, actually..”
kingofthecrimsonblade:
“He asked for it. Apparently it sounded fun to him.”
“Please don’t humor him anymore. He has been having too much fun and is shirking his duties...”

┃ ┄ ┅ DREADING THE INEVITABLE, Kouen only hopes that his brothers know he loves them. A stack of VERY IMPORTANT PAPERS are in his hand, sopping wet and leaving a trail of misery behind him. These were documents he was supposed to have ready for Hakuyuu by this morning, but they’d met their ends and were buried in a water grave when Kouen misstepped and landed right in a pond (though it felt like being swallowed up in the ocean when he was watching the ink of his words leech black from the paper).
He’s going to kill me is running through his head a mile a minute as he peers into his cousin’s office, and his heart drops as he realizes he will have to face his fate much sooner than anticipated. Hakuyuu is IN HIS OFFICE.
“C-Cousin ‘Yuu, I have arrived. Ha… How are you this fine afternoon?” ─ ━ ♚ │
Kouen was never late, nor shirked his duties or made excuses, at least not when it came to Hakuyuu. Which is why when Kouen finally ‘entered’ his office, Hakuyuu was slightly surprised to see the young man is such disarray. “Kouen,” He greeted softly, voice holding it’s usual calm as he looked his sibling over with concern. “Are you alright? You seem to be a little disheveled. Come.”
Hakuyuu stood from behind his desk and waved to Kouen, motioning for him to come closer so he could have a look at him.
