Welcome to the Debtors Of Inkwell blog! Debtors of Inkwell is a pacifist Cuphead AU that focuses mainly on the debtors/bosses and unites them with Cuphead, Mugman, and Miss Chalice against the Devil.
This blog posts a main storyline comic that follows Cuphead and his friends meeting the Devil's debtors. Current Comic Update: Botanic Panic!
It also features asks and character interaction, and as the story goes on, more and more characters will be able to receive questions! Currently open for questions: Cuphead, Mugman, Miss Chalice, The Devil, and King Dice.

FAQ
-Will my favorite character appear in this AU?
Most likely! While the story mostly focuses on Cuphead and his friends, it delves into the backstories of all of the mainline bosses, including King Dice, The Devil, and Chef Saltbaker. In addition, the DLC bosses and majority of minibosses (all the casino crew) are in this story. Several of the NPCs of the game also make appearances, but I don't want to spoil too much!
-When was this project started and by whom?
This AU was originally created in 2022 by Faeriebottle, and while it was on hiatus for quite some time, it's now back and will do its best to post consistent updates.
-How come my question wasn't answered?
The blog can only answer questions that are directed to characters that have been revealed in the story so far, or are specified for the ask box at the current time. So if you want to ask The Phantom Express and its crew, you'll unfortunately have to wait until that chapter. Other reasons could be it was rude or considered spam, or may have been answered before. Please don't be discouraged if your ask doesn't get posted here.

Why of course you can my dear!
-Goopy absolutely does not understand astrology at first, but he listens to Hilda talk about it anyway with the biggest most fascinated smile on his face.
-Hilda pretends she finds his enthusiasm embarrassing, but she really finds him to be very endearing.
-Goopy is one of the only people who can make Hilda laugh- sometimes so hard she snorts.
-Hilda goes to all of Goopy's boxing matches, and whenever Goopy wins a match, the first thing he does is look around the crowd for Hilda's reaction.
-Hilda patches Goopy up after fights. She'll grumble the entire time about how reckless he is while cleaning his injuries, but Goopy just smiles because he knows the fussing means she cares.
-Goopy loves hearing Hilda talk about the moon because she gets this dreamy look in her eyes that completely changes her usual sharp attitude.
-Hilda absolutely melts when Goopy picks her up effortlessly after a victory and spins her around while laughing.
-They balance each other emotionally really well. Goopy softens Hilda's edges, while Hilda helps Goopy take himself more seriously and recognize his own worth.

It's been a long time, but finally i have made some headway on this project! I know it's not very exciting, and to be honest, most of the bosses don't get much love. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the story I have planned!
The art here isn't my best, and I apologize for that, this is a learning experience for me as it's my first comic and highly experimental.

Hi everyone! This AU has been on hiatus for a little while, but it's about time I got back to it! I promise to have more updates soon, the next chapter of the comic is underway, and I'm going to be adding an ask feature to the blog soon for you to ask characters questions!
