Bitch, Iām delicate.
I just want to remind everyone that this is Breonna Taylor. She was shot 8 times in her bed on March. 13 by the police. There are many lists and pictures of the faces and names since Trayvon but Breonna is rarely included. This JUST happened. Black Women are being killed too. Remember her motherfucking name.
I find it extremely disgusting, that Breonna Taylor and many other black girls who are unfairly killed, are never protested for as much as men, or women of other races. I bet many didnāt even know, or care to know, that black women face police brutality as well. We also go missing, and are assaulted at alarming rates. But everyone is hush hush about it. I want everyone to stop erasing black women from every movement. They deserve the justice that blm is fighting for, as well as feminism and the me-too movement. Hell, black Women are usually the main ones advocating for the justice for every group. So whoās gonna fight for us? Where is everyone when itās all said and done? I find it funny how everybody wanna take part in the culture, emulate our hairstyles, body, and persona, but when we need help yall go mia. We fight for everybody, but who is there for us. And as a black girl, Iām tired of fighting for āa bigger pictureā Iām never apart of. Especially when it puts my life in more danger. (I.e the current protests) #black women matter
Justice for Breonna Taylor. Rekia Boyd. Atatiana Jefferson. Sandra Bland. Idella Carey. These are just a few names. Unfortunately, black menās deaths are popularized more b/c thereās a footage, but black women are killed while sleeping. In their own homes. This hurts. Say all her names.
LGBT people, long frustrated by police brutality, finally fighting back. trans women of colour and gender non-conforming lesbians, were some of the key people involved in the act of resistance, including Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and StormƩ DeLarverie.
