Finding the right paint is the hardest part of Caden’s day whenever he decides to take a trip to the shops himself. He can never decide what the wants or how much he needs. He has so many projects in his head and so many of them require the same and sometimes many different colors. He’s got a shade of pastel pink and lavender in his hands though in his shopping basket he has so many others  But he’s trying to decide between these last two.

He looks to the one person beside him and asks, “I don’t suppose you have an idea of which would look better for a sunset color do you?” He asks holding out the colors. “I really want to capture the softer side of the sun setting without the dynamic reds and oranges taking the main focus.”

         MAYBE IF SHE HADN’T STARED  at rows of paint for so long before the other had even appeared, she’d be just as frustrated. this was not the case considering she did often spend hours circling the aisles as if other shades would magically appear. luckily, she’d gotten the hang of mixing and didn’t find it in her to be as worried about finding the right shade. bright gaze studies him for a moment before falling onto the paints.  

          her head tilts towards one side, eyebrows furrowing in thought. ❝ lavender. ❞ she finally decides, nodding in confirmation. ❝ the lavender will add a nice balance to the reds and oranges, definitely. if you use a light coral shade between the reds and orange, it’ll really soften it up. ❞

LOWER LIP TUGGED BETWEEN HIS TEETH, a look of concentration etched against elias’ face as his fingers moved against the buttons of the arcade game. this was the closest he had gotten to the end of the game, so it wasn’t really his fault when he lost — again, and the slight heat under his fingers had the male jumping back.

           burnt marks left on the buttons, but the game was still playable — probably. “you saw nothing,” he grumbled to the person closest to him. only then realizing, he probably just drew attention to his.. mistake.

          SHE WAS THERE WITH  her friends, originally. but she had wandered off, as she often did. ocean like gaze lifts from her phone just in time to catch a glipmse of the burnt buttons. she knew what he was, it was evident in the lack of control. still, she allowed her gaze to fall - meeting the floor for a moment before finally lifting again.   

          ❝ saw what ?? ❞ bambi tilted her head, eyeing him curiously. ❝ are you okay ?? ❞ she adds after a moment, unable to help herself.

bambi dahlia clarke was born in kayesberg, france. her parents were visiting the family vineyard and wine production when her mother went into labor, a few days before the set date. originally, lillian dupont was staying in paris - far from her hometown and far from her coven. it was there that she met her soulmate, donovan clarke. they were in the same french university, seeking similar careers in the law field. 

naturally, they fell in love and eventually had bambi. yes, bambi. that is her given name. quite literally the bane of her existence. though, her parents assured her that the name had been thoroughly chosen and not just given because it was a disney classic. she finds it hard to believe that someone would name their child bambi after looking through millions of other names.

she was delicate, from the moment she was old enough to do things on her own. delicate and kind. which was another reason why her parents claimed to have given her the name. 

she showed interest in dance as soon as she was able to walk. so her mother took her to the best studio in paris where they molded bambi’s talents.

lillian came from a long line of balancers in the giordianna coven. it was basically written in stone that bambi would follow behind. it was their legacy. by god’s grace, bambi was born a witch - making lillian’s life much easier.

when bambi was fifteen, lillian and donovan decided that it was time to take their little family back to the states. so they left france and settled back into everwinter. 

small towns and bambi were no strangers, very well acquainted considering she was born in one. however, paris was nothing like everwinter or even kayesberg. leaving france wasn’t horrible but it was definitely a change. 

here, she was taught the ways of balancers - training the girl to eventually step up for her mother as one of the three. “ being a balancer is an honors, bambi. it’s your birthright and it is the family legacy. ” and so while the regular teens were going out and having fun... she was spending time with her coven - learning their ways, perfecting her magic and leveling herself.

she does have siblings, two brothers born before her. twins.

she doesn’t mind being linked to a vampire, really. bambi’s just glad that she has a soulmate after all. she’s. hopeless romantic, honestly.

the realization of being bonded to a vampire has, in a way, changed her plans. bambi wanted a family, kids of her own. now she’s not so sure she’ll get to have that. immortality isn’t so bad, is it ???

she’s very short LOL but mighty, for sure. so yeah, she’s 5 ft, barely. but there.

when she’s not with the coven doing her balancer duties and what not, she’s in the dance studio either teaching a littles class or doing some dances herself. 

on her days off, however, she does dabble with school currently on the verge of finishing her masters in teaching. she’d like to start in kindergarten maybe work up to maybe high school.
