in a dark room, a single ray of light comes through the windows. some day, i hope it will shine brightly. if I hope and hope, it will be fulfilled— that’s what i believed and waited for. on a long and tiring day, i got together my heart that was filled with sighs. today and tomorrow, i will get up again and live through the day.

subin nodded along, about to guess an insane number of lipsticks before she answered her own question on a much smaller scale. “maybe you’re just too good for this school, sunghwa-yah. so good, it had nothing to offer. you know,” he pointed. “if you hate it so much, why haven’t you left? there’s gotta be something keeping you here.”

subin jogged away from the tennis court in pursuit of a ball on the run. the boy sighed, hands resting on his hips as he scanned the area, the runaway ball nowhere in sight. “hey!” he called to someone nearby without really thinking beforehand.  “you haven’t seen a lonely tennis ball on the loose in the last minute have you? coach asked me to come find it and, well, i can’t.”

his first language is korean, but taught himself english and basic spanish

he’s been playing tennis since he was lil so probs around 7-10 is when he started

he’s a pretty quiet fella but it’s because he’s a people-watcher not bc he’s a total grump

hes surprisingly confident tho like u wouldnt think so since hes so reserved but boi this kid thinks hes the best tennis player out there smh
