Something I just learned today is that when Bettina Köster moved to the US in 1983 and right after Malaria! took a hiatus in 1984 she formed a band with the above musicians (and two dudes) called 'In The Service Of'. I can find very little information about the band's brief existence other than the fact that they only really played in clubs in New York. I would love to have heard whatever they created but I don't think they ever recorded anything in the few years they worked together. That's a shame because I love all the bands they each came from and I suspect I probably would have dug whatever musical alchemy their collaboration wrought.
