My mum made sure I got my dress and sent it to the tailor, but we don't have bridesmaids dresses yet. My maid of honor is my sister Anita and I don't know what what Niall's doing with the groomsmen yet, but I can ask.

Yeah, it’s whatever works for you, honestly! Many couples will have a cocktail hour before their dinner. That way, it gives everyone a chance to mingle before the actual dinner. Cocktail hour could be anywhere. It could be at a bar, the hotel meeting room, or even at the reception area. Some couples I’ve worked with have done the cocktail hour in the lobby of the building and then moved into the actual room for the reception. It’s really whatever you want, love.

Lots of people do, yes. Chicken is a fairly common entree at weddings. Do you want like a full course of dinner? Like salad, bread, appetizer? Or just the main course?

I personally love sit down dinners, it’s just all up to preference. One isn’t easier for the other, planning wise. But when it comes down it, sit down dinners are usually much cleaner.

Sounds like a good plan. That leaves your options wide open. A wide open room could work, and we could place tables around an open area, that could be the dance area. And in the back, a bar could be set up. So the dance area is the focal point of the room.

Okay, inside receptions are good. So that’s one thing done. Then you should think about what the atmosphere will be. Lots of dancing, little dancing? That will help determine the reception area.
