“Always,” Dylan responded, if not a little cheesily to her question. What could he say, Barbara brought out the hopeless romantic in him. He entangled his fingers with hers and led them out of her place and to his car. Despite their popularity in the public eye, Dylan and Babs weren’t photographed as heavily as you might assume. Dylan always tried to keep a low profile and stick to spending time with her at their place but tonight was a night to really up the stakes. He opened the car door so she could get in and after shutting it, got in the drivers seat. He handed her his phone which was open to his many Spotify playlists. “Lady picks the music,” he grinned at her. “Pick us a good one. Set the mood.”
Barbie smiled at the way their hands fit together. Even months apart, it’s like they’d never held another’s hand, his hands were still carved out for hers. Swinging their arms a little until they made it downstairs, she hummed a little, saying a quick ‘Thank you’ when he let her into the car, buckling up and crossing her legs carefully. When he got in and pulled out, Barbara took his phone quickly “Mhm... Set the mood” She repeated, surfing around a little before settling on a mix of old 80′s music playing loudly in the car “Feeling oldies”
