Jackson, Daxton and Brian’s adopted son, was neglected heavily by his birth parents as a baby, hence why Daxton felt an immediate connection and need to take care of him and adopt him. It’s caused him to have anger issues and a tendency to misbehave sometimes without him realizing. He’s an extremely grounded kid, though. Very social, as well, unlike his mother.

                 it isn’t her day, to say the least. she was rudely interrupted this morning by her mother telling her about the usual five more minutes she has left to finish showering, & the phone call they got when she stepped out – it had her heart racing. they’re always waiting, they’re always on alert ; waiting for it to be a call from the morgue, waiting for someone to call them & tell them that it’s done. nick’s gone.

               she isn’t necessarily paying attention to where her eyes go, fingers fumbling with her phone, skipping song after song. when the boy speaks, her eyebrows raise, pulling out one earphone to let it hang over her chest.   ❝ no, i’m – ❞  she doesn’t like the smoking that much, but.. she hadn’t realized she was staring.  ❝ spaced out. – tired. ❞

     maybe they could thrive in their shit day together, he assumes. his lips PURSE into a tight line before he drops the cigarette, stepping on it lightly. with his hands now DUG in his pockets he approaches her, feeling bad now. it wasn’t like him. it wasn’t like him to be HARSH, to act out. for some reason he had some undying anger inside him.
