Blended Foods
Tomorrow I start blended foods and I am so excited to start eating foods and testing things out and seeing what I like and what I no longer have a taste for. I feel like things have been going so smoothly for me so far so I’m hopeful that things will continue to go smoothly for me and that my pouch can tolerate the things I’m excited to eat! I also have this overwhelmed feeling too of just entering a new stage in my vsg journey and wanting it to go well and just how fast time has been going by. Today I am officially 2 weeks post op and have lost 11 pounds so far post op. It’s wild to think about but I also know this will change a bit once I incorporate actual foods into my diet again. I’m ready for this new stage regardless!
A recent crochet blanket I made. Done in strips and then sewed them together! The colors and textures are so fun!
A few bikini tops I crocheted! These are so fun and quick to whip up in a few hours! 👙
The first cardigan I crocheted for my wife! She loved it! (I’m wearing it in the video) ps. The colors are far more vibrant that the video portrays!
2nd week post op bypass
I’ve been starting to feel hungry now that I’m 4 days into my second week post op. I’m very ready to get to my next stage of blended foods by the end of this week and excited to try some new recipes! I’m also looking into new protein drinks because I’m quickly getting tired of the one that I’ve been liking for a long time now since pre op. I knew this was a possibility.
When I started this journey I was 308lbs and before surgery I lost 35lbs making my weight 273. At 1 week post op I had lost an additional 7lbs (mostly water weight which eventually returns a bit once introducing foods again) making my weight 266lbs.
I’m excited to see the changes that come but I also get emotional thinking about those changes and how I’ll feel during this journey.
