"you don't seriously think you need that much do you?" there's a teasing lilt to your voice that has the super soldier rethinking the amount of wrapping paper infront of him. his bottom lip is jutting out a bit in frustration, the smallest semblance of a pout.
“well how much does you think i need?” a sigh of frustration as he folds the paper over the small box, wrapping it and being left with an absurd amount of paper left over. you say nothing as he looks at you for tape, handing him a small piece for secure the paper around the box. “see? it doesn’t even look bad” Bucky boasts, folding the top half down and realizing the grave mistake he’s made.
he doesn’t say anything as he grabs the scissors and hacks away at the excess on the top, folding it and realizing there was still too much, cutting and cutting until finally. he folds the top half and settles for squishing the bottom half and the corners, placing a couple strips of tape and repeating the process for the top part of the box.
“all done!” the box looks for rounded at the ends due to the bunching of the paper he didn’t bother to fold right. “doesn’t look too bad, right doll?” his confidence wavers a bit, looking to you for approval.
“it could be worse” you nod, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek, giggling as he sighs and tears the wrapping paper off the box. again. “y’know you could always ask for help buck” mumble, setting your hot chocolate down and joining him on the floor, bumping your shoulder with his and kissing him softly.
“c’mere let me see this” you mumble, gently taking the box from his hands, measuring out how much wrapping paper you need and cutting it off the roll. “you just have to fold this enough to cover the top and bottom,” you explain, taping the edges down to secure it place, “the ends are the hard part but once you get the hang of it it’s not so bad.”
Bucky tried paying attention, he really did. but all he could focus on was the way your hair seemed to fall perfectly, the way your honey voice seemed to soothe the headache he felt coming on. bucky’s eyes traced your features, falling in love with you all over again as you continued to explain how to wrap a present to him.
“- and then you’re all done!” you grin, looking at bucky with sparkling eyes.
“thank you dollface, dunno what id do without you” he sighs happily, a smile on his lips even as they meet yours.
“probably give terribly wrapped gifts” you quip, giggling against his lips before pressing a quick peck to his lips and pulling away.
bucky can’t help but hum in contentment, pressing one last kiss to your lips and taking the present from your hands. “Sam should be thankful he’s getting anything at all” he scoffs, you roll your eyes, knowing he had three other gifts for him he didn’t bother to wrap, instead put in a holiday bag and stuffed full of tissue paper.
“whatever you say angel” you smile, yelling in surprise when bucky picks you up and puts you on his lap with ease, his stubble tickling your neck as he peppers kisses over your exposed skin.

miguel is the kind of boyfriend that is either very shy when it comes to PDA or does not give a fuck about who’s around
“ay mi amor, it’s just holding hands” you’re giggling as you walk next to the tall man, he’s rolling his eyes and mumbling something under his breath. your eyes are narrowing at him as you speak up, “que dijiste? you wanna speak up a bit?” you’re voice is sharp but you’re only teasing, miguel doesn’t take the chance and immediately stands a bit taller, squeezing your hand and giving you a small smile.
“nothing, mi vida, i love you” you’re smiling up at him and he feels silly for being so embarrassed of holding hands in public, he’s a grown man for fucks sakes. it isn’t long before hes planting kisses on your cheek and throwing an arm around your shoulder, wanting you to be as close to him as he could get you.
before you know it he’s too handsy for you to handle. sneaking an arm around your waist, keeping your fingers intertwined even when you wanna look at another section of the store or put the groceries in the cart. he’s trying to plant kisses on your lips when you’re trying in a new shirt. he’s nipping at your neck when you come out in a pair of jeans that look amazing on you, what are the workers gonna do? stop him?
he just loves u so much he’s not afraid to show it, even though he still gets nervous when he’s reaching out for your hand to hold in a crowded room, the faintest blush on his cheeks and his ears burning hot <3
