O’Malley’s, Santa Barbara, CA
the james joyce, santa barbara, ca.
Joe's Cafe, Santa Barbara, CA. Only got to have one drink here, since we came in right before they closed. But they were nice enough to turn the neon back on for me when they saw me taking the picture.
Sammy's Astro Club, West Sacramento, CA. Not a bad place, it's more brightly lit than I like bars to be.
Sail Inn, West Sacramento, CA. About as divey as you would expect based on its exterior.
Fox & Goose, Sacramento, CA. The place for breakfast, good food and a great bloody mary.
DeVere's, Davis, CA. Good food, good whiskey.
Goeman's, Sacramento, CA. I like this place far better than most sports bars.
The Pocket Club, Sacramento, CA. Hidden in a strip mall off Freeport. Pool tables, good drinks, no natural light.
Mission Bar, San Francisco, CA.
The Homestead, San Francisco, CA.
DeVere's, Davis, CA. A good meal, and good whiskey, with very good friends.
Froggy's, Davis, CA. In a college town, this is very much a college bar.
Bernado, Davis, CA. They have a drink there, I forget the name, that is very strong, very tasty, and served with the straw filled with 151.
Chris' Club, Vallejo, CA. Live music venue. They mix a strong drink.
Brownie's Lounge, Sacramento, CA. A very nice, wood-paneled bar hidden in a strip mall in south Land Park. I normally end up here on St. Patrick's Day.
