Adding SFX to “Coma” Adding SFX to scene 5 of "Coma". Notice the reflection in the water pitcher.
Acting Opportunity Here’s an opportunity for all acting talent. With the COVID-19 virus, all film production has stopped, all cast and crew sitting idle.
Marketing continues… Continuing the marketing efforts on my new novel, "Executioner's Remorse". More social media posts, more FaceBook advertising, more Amazon advertising, more direct emails. Sales figures are looking great!
TBUFF Film Festival opens Our first indie project, "Katz Kradle" was accepted by the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival. Today is the first day of the three day festival. Red Carpet and Tuxedos.
Rehearsal for our indie film, “Coma” All cast and directorial crew met today to table read our 2nd indie film, "Coma". What amazing talent we have!
Final Rehearsal – “Coma” Cast and directorial crew met today for a final rehearsal before Sunday's first day of filming.
Marketing...
Marketing…
So, since I’ve decided to go the indie route, all of the marketing is up to me. Quite the challenge since I can’t hold book signings. Thanks COVID.
Yesterday, I emailed over 5000 contacts with info on “Executioner’s Remorse”.
I posted on several facebook pages, and got a couple of friends to share on their timelines.
I began sending facebook messages to my 500+ fb friends, but fb…

Let the editing begin… Lots of raw footing and audio in the can from yesterday's amazing shoot. Now we begin snipping and pasting, leveling, color correcting, noise reduction and all those 'post production' tasks that make a movie great.
Day 1 filming “Coma” Our amazing cast and crew pulled off two sessions of filming today. The daytime shots from 10am until 4pm, then the evening scene from 7pm to 9pm. Tons of takes but we got several scenes 'in the can'.
Final Shooting Our amazing Cast and crew gathered today on set to shoot the last scene (not sequentially) of our latest indie film, "Coma". Much rehearsing, many takes and a few laughs later, the scene is 'in the can'!
Editing the Final Scene Spent the day editing the final scene of our latest indie film, "Coma". Phil Todd did an amazing job playing the part of the evil doctor. Hope he doesn't get typecast 🙂
Recording Voice Over with Brynne Jumping back to film making for a day. Brynne Paige, our amazing star actress from "Katz Kradle" has agreed to be perform voice talent for our second indie film, "Coma".
Rotoscoping Sucks It's really the worst part of editing. Hour after hour of tediously outlining an object. Sure, there's software that does it... 90%. But if you want a professional film, you've got to spend the time getting to 100%
Back to Novels With the COVID directives, indie film festivals are cancelling or postponing. And putting together cast and crew for the next project is not feasible. So, I'm leaving film-making for now and returning to my novels and screenplays. First order of business, self-publishing my debut novel, Executioner's Remorse"
Reformatting for indie publishing Back to the grind, reformatting my latest novel, "Executioner's Remorse", for indie publishing on Amazon. Page size, margins, gutters, fonts, TOC, etc. Plus realigning the cover to fit the new dimensions.
