Queer ultraviolence: Bash Back! anthology
Men need to stop trying to excuse violence towards Trans Women just because they're confused about what they're into! It's disgusting. #toxicmasculinity is rampant, and its killing #transwomen! #transliberation #ProtectTransWomen #TransLivesMatter #VisibilityIsNotEnough 👀
Intersectionality is a sociological theory about how an individual can face multiple threats of discrimination when their identities overlap a number of minority classes, such as race, gender, age, ethnicity, health and other characteristics. Intersectionality describes the hierarchical nature of power and how belonging to multiple discriminated classes can mean that one’s issues are ignored. While intersectionality might not be a perfect tool, recognizing its uses and limitations does help us to ensure that we aren’t overlooking the challenges people belonging to multiple minorities face as we move toward the goal of a fairer and more equal society.
REBLOG if you think there's no reason AT ALL for racist, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, abuse, terrorism, rape, torture, pedophilia, and bullying
Hopefully this gets the reblogs it needs.
Visibility alone will not bring the change that we want. Visibility is not enough. If it were, Trans Women of Color would not be dying in the streets and TPoC would not suffer at disproportionate rates, from #poverty! TRANS LIBERATION NOW! #transliberation #TransLivesMatter #ProtectTransWomen #ProtectTransYouth #TransIssues #VisibilityIsNotEnough
That was criminal.
You bet your boring hetero little butt it was. And when the law is immoral, criminal acts become heroic.
Keep fighting to love who you love.

Eyricka King is a Black trans woman targeted by antiBlack and transmisogynistic state violence. She is serving a 2 - 4 year sentence on a grand larceny charge and being sentenced for a bail jumping charge after a sex work client and the nypd worked together to incriminate her. The state forced her into a plea deal during her criminalization, in another example of how law enforcement abuses and capture Black and brown sex workers instead of protecting them. https://www.out.com/news-opinion/2017/7/13/trans-woman-eyricka-king-attacked-denied-medical-treatment-new-york-prison #Justice4EyrickaKing #TransLivesMatter #ProtectTransWomen #sexworkersmatter #transliberation @iwocnyc @peoplespowerassemblynyc @lgbtcenternyc @sexwork_mywork @audrelordeproject @translifeandliberation @translawcenter
Fuck any misconceptions you had about Stonewall. It wasnot a peaceful hand holding demo where friendly gay white men and lesbians held hands and demanded marriage equality. It was transwomen, stone butch lesbians, and queer people of many stripes, and many people of color battling the pigs like we should be doing right now.
Trans Nationalism! Fuck the pigs. Fuck transmisogyny. Queer Power!
It was on the night of June 27, 1969, that a routine police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a Christopher Street hangout for gays, run by the Mafia, prompted not cowed obedience from the customers but uncharacteristic fury and outrage. It was not unusual for the police to raid gay bars, and they did so regularly, to arrest transvestites and harass the customers. What made the raid of the Stonewall Inn unusual is that the gay and lesbian patrons spontaneously fought back, tossing beer cans, bricks and anything else in reach at the police officers, who responded by beating many of the protesters and arresting dozens of others. THE MOVEMENT FOR #LGBTQ EQUALITY AND LIBERATION WAS BIRTHED OUT OF A NEED TO FIGGT BACK AGAINST #policebrutality and STATE REPRESSION. This is why it is imperative that we build a movement for #Abolition of prisons and police. #abolishthepolice #abolishprisons #abolishthesystem #queerliberation #transliberation ✊🏻🏳️🌈🏴❤️💛💚💙💜🖤
Another black transgender woman has been murdered. Ava Le'Ray Barrin was shot to death on June 23rd, in the parking lot of the Atlanta apartment complex where she lived. She is the 14th Trans woman, and the youngest, reported killed in 2017, the 13th trans woman and the 12th trans woman of color. Over 80% of murdered trans people in the U.S. are women of color. Trans Women, particularly Trans women of Color continue to remain unsafe, and not cared for by the system. 27 Trans women were killed last year, and so far in 2017 there have already been fourteen murders of Trans women. #ProtectTransWomen #TransLivesMatter #TransLiberationNow #BlackTransWomenMatter

London Jade and Jasmine Infiniti, two trans women of color were attacked outside of Bushwick Liquors last week. They were denied service at the store, and the attackers hurled transphobic slurs at London and Jasmine before the assault. This is not an isolated incident. In 2017, we have lost 13 trans lives– all of whom have been trans women of color. In NYC, hate crimes towards the queer community have increased since Trump’s election. Show up the Thursday before Pride to say this WILL end. Bash back for trans lives! #QueersBashBack #NoJusticeNoPride https://mic.com/articles/179695/trans-women-dj-jasmine-infiniti-and-london-jade-assaulted-in-brooklyn#.FSGTVvlBj

In light of #pridemonth we just want to remind all of you that Stonewall was a riot, and it was started by Queer and Trans Women of Color; we must do better in remembering our history. Cis White Hetero-normative Gay men: Let's remember where your rights came from. Stonewall was a riot! The first pride, was not peaceful and happy. The action at the Stonewall was initiated by Queer and Trans Women of Color. Yet, I see y'all forget about your Trans brothers and sisters when they're dying in the streets! White gay men, in particular, forget where their freedoms come from. The white-washing of our Queer and Trans history is unacceptable, and the forced assimilation must not be tolerated! QUEERS DON'T DENT IT! STONEWALL WAS A RIOT! The pink-washing, white-washing, rainbow capitalism that is destroying our community, IT MUST END! TAKE BACK PRIDE! R.I.P. Marsh P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Lee Brewster. #StobewallWasARiot #NoJusticeNoPride #FuckRainbowCapitalism #TransLivesMatter #queerrevolution #blacktranswomenmatter #queerliberation
