just saw a person post about how lestat’s jealousy towards claudia comes from his own unhealthy relationship with his mother in the sense that lestat genuinely believes that love can only be something sexual or romantic. this dude genuinely thought that louis was going to fall in love with claudia because, in his mind, that’s the only logical way to love someone and is one of the only ways his mother ever expressed love towards him.
