Week 2 of 18, day 6 of the Higdan Novice 1 program. This is going to be a long journey, but I know it's worthwhile. Today was the same 3 miles and tonight I did some yoga and I feel great.
Rest Day
Hey hey hey!!! Today was my rest day aka Yoga day. For me, Yoga day is almost everyday; I do yoga after my runs and on some rest days. I'm trying to follow the Hal Higdan Novice 1 schedule with minimal modications. I replaced Tuesdays run with Monday, that way no 3 day back to back runs.
This is most of what I ate today. What's NOT pictured is the junk food I was too ashamed to share: 2 caramels, a chocolate chip cookie and a quarter pounder (holds head in shame).
Hung out with the Lululemon crew for some outdoor yoga downtown.
Did my 3 miles, still on schedule, but also did a bit of walking. I didn't get much sleep last night.
Week 2 of 18
Todays my rest day, but it's also a day to prepare for the new week. I'm running my first marathon May 5, in Puerto Rico. I'm doing an 18 week Hal Higdan training program with a few modifications. I'll be working out 5 days a week and some days twice; listed below is this weeks schedule.

I really want this excess weight to disappear. I'll do more pictures every 30 days when my training is finished.
I forgot to post yesterday, another 3 miles according to the schedule. My long run is tomorrow, it's six miles and that will complete week 1 of 18. 😊

After nearly two weeks off from work this was desperately needed. Don't worry, it's black tea made with soy milk.

Today I'll be doing a double; I missed my strength training workout yesterday.
