INES MORENO, a lifelong bear creek resident working the westchester family farms. find her nestled amongst the gardens, appreciating wildlife, or roaming her home town to take in the local scenery. strawberry, 27, cst.
look who goes there! is that INES MORENO? i’ve seen them often around SADDLE GROVE, which may be because they are a FARMER @ WESTCHESTER FAMILY FARM. they’ve been in town for THIRTY-THREE (33) YEARS and i’ve known them to be PASSIONATE but also A PERFECTIONIST. for some reason, GIDDY UP by SHANIA TWAIN reminds me of them, as well as SUNSHINE OVER THE MOUNTAINS, COZY CAMP FIRES, TOASTED MARSHMALLOWS SMASHED BETWEEN GRAMCRACKERS.

ines was born to happily married alejo and ninette in early january, 1993. she is four years her sisters senior but they are incredibly close and have been basically best friends since the beginning.
when ines was attending school, there was, at one point, a dream to leave bear creek for something "bigger." but bigger doesn't always mean better. she got a very brief taste of "bigger" in an internship during the final days of her degree path, staying in a busy city for only a month or two. ines quickly realized that she couldn't see herself leaving the mountains and the simplicity of this life behind her, there was so much to love about her home town. she has stayed in bear creek all of her life.
after earning her degree, she finds a job at the westchester family farms and prides herself on the work that she does there. building foundations for people to feed their families, to bring life to this earth, and understand the sciences behind each new growth and growing seasons.
eventually she meets who she thought would be the love of her life, unnamed for now. she never dares to speak of him, that's how badly he hurt her. one day they were planning a wedding, she thought that they were happy. she was happy. the next he packed everything he owned and he left while she was at work. he was gone in less than an hour. no text, no note, nothing. it was like he never existed in her life except in memories, in the ring that she still had on her finger. the ring that she tossed into the lake in a fit of grief. annida, ever the internet stalker, found out some months later that he was with some other girl and she already had a ring on her finger.
there have been a few other romantic dips in her life, though none to last. she almost considered herself unlucky in love. every time she begun to commit her time to someone, they would leave. just a summer vacation, just another girl, just just just ...
she stopped letting herself invest time in other people, found passion in gardening and keeping up with her family and friends. enjoyed the simple things in life, taking things as they came to her and one step at a time.
eventually, she meets gunner colt. no matter how much she tried to let herself not fall in love with him, it was inevitable. the universe simply wouldn't let them by without meeting each other. the cafe, the bar, the coffee shop. everywhere she was, he seemed to be. it was like fate. they took it as their sign and they've been together since his settling into the town.
there are no plans to ever leave this beautiful, simple life.
