it's dark. you can't see. but then again, you can't remember the last time you were able to see. it's been dark for as long as you can remember.

you're dimly aware of something sharp and rigid digging into your back from where you're laying, but it doesn't hurt. despite the discomfort, you can't seem to will your body to move. the most that happens is a hand twitching.

panic begins to well up in you, but it isn't enough. you're still horrifyingly still.

you try to speak;to yell for help, but the only thing you muster up is a choking sound that feels like it shreds your throat. nothing that even resembles a word.
