id like to congratulate obito and kakashi for being insane about each other in a way that is usually only reserved for the eternally inextricably intertwined gods. but no these guys managed it all by themselves without leaning on magic reincarnation nepotism. this is why their toxic murder + delusion situationship truly exemplifies the show's theme of hard work overcoming natural talent

Goooosh details like those always get to me, I don’t understand why they aren’t talked about much (ಥ﹏ಥ) I also found it interesting that Rin remained dead in Obito’s supposed dream. It disproves the idea that Obito did what he did just so he could bring her back in some form as a lot of his critics claim. What he really wanted deep down was to pursue his dream of reforming the ninja world, creating new bonds while also improving the one he had with Kakashi. He actually imagined being in the ANBU with him

…acknowledging him as a worthy candidate for the position of Hokage without envy or malice

K: Obito, you’re going to be the next Hokage.

O: But you’re just as qualified…

K: A supportive role suits me better.

…and even having him as his right-hand man.

There’s just so much to unpack from Obito’s dream that I kinda wish this was the route Kishi planned for him. Or maybe because I’d want to know how his relationships with other characters (especially Kakashi because I’m Kakaobi trash) as well as his legacy as a Hokage would’ve turned out but alas T_T At least we have fanworks.
