1000 times they were hunting some sort of Creature and Sam was like Dean I think that's my narrative mirror so I feel kinda weird about the fact that you want to crush it like a bug and 1000 times Dean was like Sam no you don't understand there is a distinction. We can and must stomp this creature to a pulp to reinforce our status as heroes. But you don't count as a monster and you never will bc you are my baby and you are my charge and I love you and I took an oath to protect you and I carried you out of the house fire. and Sam's like ok but what if I transgress and cross the imaginary line and become a category of being that it is acceptable to hunt. what happens then. and Dean's like that simply would not happen.
